Interview from 2008 Spin: The Verve. The Police. Led Zeppelin. You could teach them all a thing or two about squabbles, splits, and reunions, no?Noel: Have the fight, by all means. But why walk off and sulk for ten years afterward and then reunite? That's daft. Me and Liam are in a bad marriage — we accept that. We've stayed together for the sake of the kids. www.spin.com/articles/spin-interview-noel-gallagher/

Great interview, the whole Radiohead bit made me laugh.
I don't know if they'll ever get back, there are enough interviews of Noel before the split, in which he says he will not leave Oasis, yet he did. Only time will tell what'll happen.

Is this the only time we have heard Noel mention the decline of Liam's voice?

Time changes, people change and even Noel Gallagher changes.
Sometimes a bad marriage is worse for kids than mum and dad staying together with continue fighting at front of their kids, but who am I? Only the lads know the truth if there's a truth.

Sometimes it's not worth getting pasted with a guitar even for the sake of the kids. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/A9bL_RjIN9bOhnrQxKjN.gif)

I must confess I find this whole subject of "Will They/Won't They" strangely compelling. Noel has always come across as kind of arch and a bit damaged I'm afraid to say. Not to get too psycho-babbled here but these lads came from a fairly bleak upbringing. Noel has always seemed very much the older brother and resents Liam's shall we say "carefree" lifestyle. While Liam, on the other side, seems like a typical over-weaned, self-indulgent frat boy. And, let's face it, to say that Liam has made a proper hash of his personal life is like saying England under-performed in the WC. But, with all of this said: I still believe that, in the end, they will reunite for these reasons: - when the chips are really down on a sibling (illness, catastrophic failure of some sort, divorce) they usually coalesce.
- Having spent the past 6 months going back and listening to all of the available live Oasis shows I could get my hands on one thing is clear, at least to me: on certain nights, under certain circumstances, Oasis were an absolutely KILLER live band. Through five drummers, various other replacements and other tempests they maintained their ability to do a great show. They were a bit Grateful Dead-like though in one respect: they could also do a real clunker as well.
- The Stone Roses: I've written about this before, but for those who may have missed, look at the example of the reunited Stone Roses. Their members said some of the most shocking and deeply cutting things about one another (including accusations of drug use, excessive drinking, profligate money wasting etc.). And yet, when Mani's Mum passed in 2014, there they were...and here they are. So, I guess I mean...never say never.
I maintain that, were they agree to, say, three shows for the Teenage Cancer Trust, The Prince's Trust and Autism Support in the U.K. they would, of course, sell out all three shows instantly, raise money for worthy people and see how the thing plays. If it works? Hey, 100 shows in 300 days would make them a ton of dough and would be a great postscript on a rich and transformational body of work.
Just sayin'.

McCarroll, White, Starkey and Sherrock......who'm I missing? Didn't Steve (White) replace Alan once at a gig or something? Maybe he meant that.

That I stuck it out. There have been ten moments when it would have been easy to do a Richard Ashcroft and say, "Fuck you, you, and you, I'm off." But I didn't. And you know what? I'm still in love with making records. And then he did ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

I got ya. I wasn't thinking of him as a "real" Oasis drummer, but you are correct.

Just sayin'. I'll just add another example in with the good ole Fleetwood Mac. Christina Mcvie left the band in 1997 and claimed she wasn't ever rejoining and WALA! Rejoined this year.
