Oasis have a collection of greatest hits that they are going to release under the album title "stop the clocks" in november. I once read an interview in which noel said he would not release a greatest hits until the band was done for. Could he title mean oasis is done and stop the clocks counting the time they have been together making music? Is Oasis done for? or have they finally given in to the pressure from their record label to make a greatest hits?

hopefully your just ill informed and not doing this on purpose....noel didnt want a greatest hits album untill the band split but there not signing a new deal with sony so there milking it.

no worries here..
this was sony's idea I reckon, what he said above me..
noel has said before the idea of retirement and sitting around doing nothing depresses him.
they still have their hair and looks and some songs up there sleeves !

-is DBTT really a closing album (proper album, not this greatest hits shit)?
-DBTT is better than the last 2 or 3 albums, why stop now?
-You would expect a "Goodbye tour" instead of a DBTT tour
-Noel/Liam would have said something
so to answer your question: NO they arnt breaking up...Sony are just twats
Tom Petty has many greatest hits, yet hes coming out with a new album (which is going to be shit, but nevertheless...)

lets just hope in the next few days we find out more from across the pond and hope these rumors are totally fake... i personally think so since they are nwo all at fine form with each other and the past album DBTT shows that they now can feed off each other ... i believe that the boys now understand eachother and the creativness of each other... kudos to them ... and even if oasis did break up (which they will not... hopefully) at least we got a smashing album an a smashing tour... out of it ... if they will brek up its for good i would think none of this goodbye tour shite...

im hoping for 6 more albums....but is that realistic? Noel is 40 now, i cant see him playing in his 50s (1994 - 2005 = 11 yrs, 40+ 11 = 51)....but then again, i guess age is just a number
6 albums would be mega, im expecting atleast 3 though
