Any info on the book would be much appreciated as well. I must admit I didn't know he'd written one. Looking forward to it...

Hearing his view regarding his departure from Oasis should be interesting.
Isnt the current story that he wasn't showing up that often to band meetings etc so Noel told him he was out?

Bonehead is following that account, looks like it's the real deal. Nothing on Amaazon yet.

I never heard that. I heard Noel unhappy with his playing and tendinitis. Alan didn't hit the drums harder later on his career with oasis unlike he did earlier.

I found this old article with Alan's brother that talks about how unhappy he was with how it all went down, and also notes Zak left due to a fight with Noel. I've always disliked how Noel will always later blame someone's departure on Liam: Tony had a fight with Liam (not true according to Tony), Alan had a fight with Liam, Guigsy was traumatized by Liam and so on. www.musicradar.com/us/news/guitars/steve-white-slams-oasis-treatment-of-drummer-165921I definitely will be buying this book if there indeed is one.

Haha, that's quite a c*ntish move on Noel's part when you think about it, it certainly will be interesting to see if Alan follows the Tony route and slams Noel or what, he kind of just disappeared, even in Oasis he was always one of the quite ones. It'll be nice to hear his story for once rather than to hear a no doubt distorted version from Noel

Can't wait to read this. Him Liam & Noel are Oasis for me. It all ended when he went IMO.

And damn, he wanted to re-record the drums for Some Might Say but Noel refused! I always felt the sound of Tony's drumming on WTSMG? is really inept to the general flow of the album. Another good quote (I took it a little out of context): "So who would you cite as your biggest drum influence?" Alan: "...Zak Starkey is a great drummer..."

I don't buy many books but I think I'll get this one,
Whats interesting is that its been 10 years since he left so I wonder what took so long? Has anything changed?
I still don't think we've heard the real reason for his departure yet,

Haha, wouldn't be at all surprised if that article contributed to his sacking. Noel probably didn't like the fact that he appears to be slightly undermining him and not kissing his arse at every opportunity.

Not that he'll get a lot from this, maybe a high five figure £ sum. Wouldn't surprise me if it's another "fucking Noel Gallagher, I always hated that vagina, got me the sack - OK, he made me a millionaire - but what a vagina, eh?" sob story.

Is it my or is Alan White heavily hinting at some sort of Oasis reunion? Would obviously exclude Noel, so maybe Liam is intending to do some Oasis stuff outside of Beady Eye. Would make sense, what with selling the NY pad, he obviously needs the money to pay for the divorces and kids.

Yeah I reckon they're gonna tour Morning Glory and play it the whole way through with Bonehead, Alan, Gem, Andy & Liam of course.

Interesting comments by Alan. Thanks for posting, eva.
I was too late to get into Oasis to see Alan playing, but just got into them to see Zak and Chris. Alan has been and always will be one of the lads for me. I've seen Steve White playing when he played with Weller once.

Now he can't be serious, can he? I'm confused. My mouth is watering. Hell, what exactly did he mean? Could someone with an actual Twitter account please ask him about that? EDIT: Got it. That was already Alan's response to a question asked. Anyway, I would really like to find out about what's still hidden in the vaults and was kept back...

what I find weird is the choice of name, using a capital i instead of an l I know that there's already a user with the "alanwhite" handle, but it's still feels a bit off. I just hope it's not some bored dude pretending to be him and making fun on all of us.
