Slow weekend? Just getting older? Sick of all your records and the clothes you bought? Here's how to mix it up and have up to 20+ hours of constant euphoria: Step 1 - Put together a digital library of every song Oasis officially released throughout their career (I assume many of us have already done this.) Step 2 - Put together a Beatles library using the same criteria (you have this if you've got all 13 proper albums and Past Masters Volumes 1 and 2.) Step 3 - Install Winamp and make a playlist comprised of both libraries and name it oasis vs. the beatles. Be sure to weed out duplicates and live versions (my personal choice, as it makes it more random.) Step 4 - Crank your speakers up, set the playlist to random and push play. Winamp never plays the same track twice until it's gone through the whole list. The way everything flows together is amazing. Everything sounds fresher, more random, and different than before. You keep wondering which band, singer, era, and song you'll hear from next. You hear so many classics and great songs you think you've run out, but they keep coming, incredible for just two bands. The only thing that gets a little tiresome is all the early Beatles stuff, but if you appreciate that to an extent, it's worth staying true to the formula and getting a broad field of sounds. Unfortunately there's no way of saving the position on the playlist to stop it and come back to it later with no songs replayed. Maybe there's a plugin or another player that does that. Give it a try and see how much euphoria you can handle.
