...about don't believe the truth
when this album was released, a lot of ppl said it was good, but had no stand out tracks
well it just dawned on me that this album is FILLED with gems: -Lyla (typical Oasis) -LLAB (typical Oasis) -TIOBI (outstanding vocals and lyrics) -GGTIA (yeh, i think its quality) -POTQ (lyrics are fantastic) -- all those other tracks are class too, but the above songs will be rememberd for a long long time
DBTT, imo, is indeed the best since WTS
BHN is too poorly produced with poor lyrics, good album tho HC has a few classics, but too much filler SOTSOG is filled with their worst songs

I don't agree with you about BHN,HC and SOTSOG but you're absolutely right about DBTT. great songs, great production, great album. certainly their best since MG. I even think MG isn't as solid as DBTT. this was a great effort and I still don't know why people don't like LTBL, it's class imo.... there's not one skippable track on it...

HC has two good, not great, songs in SCYHO and LBL. Will say that SOTSG has three good songs in Gas Panic, Sunday Morning Call, and Where Did it All Go Wrong (the greatness of this song is that it has meaning on so many levels for the band). Roll It Over is arguably one of the worst songs ever made, next to Little James. The blatant Beatles riff rip-off is inexcusable.

Turn Up The Sun is definately one of the best oasis tunes ever. I really like DBTT, but I can see how there is so much acoustic-lead tunes that some people might overlook the quality of them

rkid not so fast on 'Roll IT Over". Liams vocals are mega on there and the guitar has a Pink Floyd vibe that Oasis never touches.
Much better than PYMWYMI.
Plus GLIO is the best thing on SOTSOG.
SOTSOG should hav had Carry Us All, LAMB & One Way Road.

That's the thing with SOTSOG for me, though, it all sounds like a b-side collection. All the SOTSOG b-sides sound like they should be on the album because they're slow, echoey and a tad dull. Most of them have Noel on vocals, too.
However I love Who Feels Love? and Gas Panic! on the album. I like the melody of Little James if not the actual song. Obviously Fuckin' in the Bushes is brilliant, but overall, the album sounds dull. And what's with the album cover? Good lyrics though.
I am a huge fan of Heathen Chemistry though, but I don't like Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Little By Little as much as everyone else. Songbird is great because it's so basic, Force of Nature has a sort of angry sound to it which I dig, (Probably) All in the Mind has great vocals, and it's a similar-sounding song to Keep the Dream Alive. And Better Man is class. I think it works perfectly as an ending song. Overall the album gives out a fantastic, cool rock 'n' roll vibe.
Don't Believe the Truth is alright.

all the albums, every one of them, has got great songs on it. i think the distinction between the average oasis albums and the really good ones are whether or not the album is consistent. the albums that you dont want to press the 'skip' button and for me dm, wtsmg, dbtt are all like that. also masterplan, but that isnt an official album
i do really like HC - hindu times, songbird, she is love, little by little, stop crying your heart out, but i can easily press skip for force on nature, better man, probably all in the mind, born on a different cloud. i mean, there are times that i happily listen to the whole album in full, but its easier to skip songs than the other 3 albums i mentioned
be here now i like all the songs but each one i can press skip to the next song after the 3, 4 or 5 minute mark. dont go away is one of my fav oasis tracks. and i love i hope i think i know even though no one else ever seems to mention it.
sotsog - i love go let it out, where did all go wrong, gas panic, sunday morning call, roll it over. put your money where your mouth is, i can see a liar needed better lyrics. little james, shmeh. who feels love sounds like a contrived attempt at sounding spiritual that just doesnt work for me. its all subjective, i know other people love it.
that is the most comprehensive breakdown of the albums i have been arsed to type in a long while. usually i dont bother cos its all been said before but at the moment im procrastinating so i have the time.

be here now i like all the songs but each one i can press skip to the next song after the 3, 4 or 5 minute mark. Yeah, that's my problem with that album. That and the fact that All Around the World has about eighty key changes. But that wasn't enough, oh, no. Noel decided to end the album with two more minutes of it. I can't decide if I prefer Be Here Now or SOTSOG...

SOTSOG should hav had Carry Us All, LAMB & One Way Road. PYMWMI, lyrically, is terrible. However it does have a great groove. IMO, Gas Panic is one of the best three songs they've ever done. Talking about B-sides, it boggles my mind that Let's All Make Believe never made the cut. Also, I feel GLIO is okay.

Giants, I do believe is not filled with their worst tracks....how can you call GLIO, RIO, GP, WDIAGW? SMC, the worst tracks?? yes it was friggin depressing, and unlike Oasis....but certianly not the worst...

I don't get the lyrics, either.
Since when did Andy Bell carry madness?
Sounds like he was writing it with Liam in mind.

I think every album has those little stinkers....DM even thou I love it, Noel wishes Digsy Dinner was never on it..morning glory it could be hey now..be here now I hope I think I know.... there is always gonna be weaker tracks... Oasis is fabulous is general so lets just leave it at that ;D

Hindu times and SCYHO outshine anything on that album, when Oasis are all 60 and doing a farwell tour, at most 2 songs from that album will make the set

the heathen chem tour was alot stronger in my opinion, everything was stronger, a return to form melody wise, for DBTT was realeasing an Album for the sake of it, a great album dont get me wrong, but theres nothing about it, no character if you get me.

I saw Oasis on the DBTT tour, but I've only seen footage of them on the Heathen Chemistry tour. But although I prefer Heathen Chemistry to DBTT, I reckon the DBTT tour was better simply because of Mr. Starkey making the live performances much more rock 'n' roll.
