Good shut! I had to miss them when they played here in 2010 because I went to see The Coral in the same venue next day.

And of course The Verve
Many people who like Oasis tend to like Suede as well (my 2nd favourite band).

The dutch band Taymir also soumds a bit like oasis I've seen them at London Calling last year November. They were the opener for the 1st night (small hall) and to play at London Calling as a Dutch band is something very special. Moke were the only Dutch band which played at London Calling (in main hall) so far. I'm a regular visitor of the festival since 2008. I go to London Calling twice a year every year to find a good new bands. However I wasn't pleasedthe with the last editions. They should more focus on unknown new bands like they used to. I don't need to go to London Calling to see bands which already released 1 or 2 albums.

I actually really like Elastica's self titled debut album.

Shack have already been mentioned... I'd recommend checking out their album HMS Fable, in particular the song Pull Together... which to me has a yearning and anthemic quality in common with classic Oasis songs like Live Forever.

I actually really like Elastica's self titled debut album. Great tune, that! I also love that line "Make a cuppa tea/put a record on"... couldn't be any more Britpop if it tried

Speaking of The Jesus and Mary Chain (I really love them), I've always wanted to hear Ian brown covering "Sidewalking" by Mary Chain.

If you like Oasis and The Verve then have a listen to Detroit Social Club! I'm still gutted about the fact they went their separate ways... luckily they managed to put out an album at least. I'd completely forgot about them, going to give the album a listen again tomorrow. Kiss the Sun and Northern Man are both really great songs, shame they split up.
