As much as I love the work of the rest of the band, it makes me kind of sad to think that we might not ever get an album where Noel writes 100% of the songs. Like it or not, Noel's songs are the reason we all started loving this band, and I'd love to here another album with nothing but his work. Sadly, I don't think that will happen again. Hell, as long as they keep putting stuff out, I don't give a shit how many songs each person writes, but for old times sake, I wish we could get one more from only the chief! Am I crazy for wishing this would happen?

yes you are crazy for hoping this would happen....
noel has made it abundantly clear that he loves being in a BAND with all members contributing music....
but i'm sure we will have an all noel album... but it won't be listed under "O" at the record shop..................i think its just a matter of time before he releases a solo effort.
agreed completely with novascotialad....you know, i just im holding out for one great album from oasis and thats it.
also, i really genuinely like liams songs on dbtt....with the exception of songbird, all liams songs on sotsog and hc are forgettable. but to me, guess god thinks im abel and meaning of soul are some of the best tracks on dbtt. and ggtia is amazing live. so im happy to hear more liam songs.
noels songwriting is no longer on the oasis path - the importance of being idle was a pleasant suprise but i dont think he can write a whole album of oasis songs.
a lot of the b sides, tracks like shout it out loud seem so much less contrived than when noel is trying to write rock anthems. i mean lyla and the hindu times are really good, but it hasnt got soul cos he doesnt mean it like he did when he wrote rock n roll star and he admits it and i dont think theres anything wrong with that cos people grow. i think with less pressure to write 'oasis tunes' on a solo album we'd hear some amazing stuff, probably more acoustic, from noel and i believe we will. its almost inevitable.
a better question would be liam let noel sing a song of his ever?[/quote]
now thats a great question! as for the Noel album, unless no goes solo..nope! Personally I rather would have the BEST songs from Liam, Noel, Andy and Gem...rather then 8 good ones from Noel and two shit ones

I hope we get a Noel/Liam tune on the next record. They probably couldn't even agree on whether or not it should be Noel/Liam or Liam/Noel in the credits.

We won't get a Noel/Liam song... Noel has talked about his distaste for writing with other people before.. i don't see Liam and Noel writing together really.. Liam writes with Gem more.
A Noel solo album would be good but i don't see another 'Oasis' album being written entierely by Noel
the best song by Liam is BOADC. GGTIA is okay. Meaning of Soul is too short. Betterman has a cool guitar melody but feels unfinished. Songbird is meh. Love like a Bomb is absolute shit.
I woould like Noel to write all of the tunes again

i think that the main question is not if Noel will write all the songs of a next album, or even if Noel will do a solo album, i think the most important question is if Noel will write at least six or seven songs with the level of WTSMG, DM or BHN ones.... 'cause i love later songs like 'where did it all go wrong' but i think most of songs after 2000 don't have the level of the previous albums... don't you think so?

to realmadrid:
i think that 'tiobi' is one of the greatest songs that noel has ever written and recorded... better than anything on WTSMG in my humble opinion.... just a great great rock and roll song.

themasterplanet: A Northern Soul by The Verve! My second favourite album by them. I love the atmosphere of it, it’s very dreamy and melancholic and dark. It holds many memories for me and I think that’s partly responsible for why I love it so much.

AllOrNothing: Up in the Sky sounds like the La's on steroids, especially that Liam Falsetto that I can almost picture Lee Mavers singing with all his big teeth showing

Bring It On Dan: I have so much shit on an old hard drive somewhere but I just cannot find it. Nothing 'out there' but probably 200 gigs or so. I can't remember the name of the site that had all the gigs listed and sources for loads of gigs next to it? I remember RKID 003.
