Oasis fans have a reputation for being thick, more proof here. For gods sake people, learn to spell common English words, your ancestors invented the language after all. DEDICATED.

Apart from this thread which is just stupid, i can honestly admit that. It's shocking sometimes how Liam and BE are disrespected over here and in general. It's Noel who left the band, and it's Liam who even started Oasis and he always seemed like a icon of this band to me. I'm not saying people have to love BE music, i'm not a massive Beady Eye fan neither but come on the whole idea of keeping on making music even without Noel is really impressive. They need more respect, that's all i want to say. Well said. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it doesn't bother me that people prefer one over the other, but it's really fucking tiresome how some feel they need to slate them to prove their allegiance. Liam leaves himself wide open for criticism at times and that's fair enough,I'm not sad enough to get wound up over it, but the same people judge Noël by different standards Disregarding anything regarding music, I think it's a maturity issue more than anything. A lot of us grew up with Oasis and idolized these guys...I know I did. But as we grew older, it's a little alarming to see Liam act more or less exactly the same as he did 20 years ago, while Noel at least has grown up a bit. I understand Liam's antics are just who he is and part of his charm, but that's just my take on it.

I'm trying to figure out what this thread is about and failing I think the point is that if Noel Gallagher wrote Beatles and Stones and Standing on the Edge of the Noise, us Noel Gallagher fans would be falling over ourselves to call them modern day classics. (hysterics)

(hysterics) I don't mind Beatles and Stones. I like that version with the alternate intro. If Noel had written it I would probably like it less, since I would have pretty high expectations for a NG track.

It doesn't matter who wrote the songs, Beady Eye will play the good ones regardless.

I think the better point is, if Noel wrote those songs, they would be much better than they are.

noel seems at a point in his life where he's slowing down his music. beady appears to be trying to keep the pace going. i think if oasis were still together you'd end up with different songs than what were seeing with nghfb and bdi.

I think Noel is really emulating Lennon. Your never gonna get a lp ever other year your going to have to wait 3 to 5 , he is minted , clearly not as inspired as he used to be , he will make music at his pace just like Lennon ,,, macca kept touring. Playing. Sorta like Liam. Think about it

Well let's hope Noel's new album is better than what Lennon put out in his last few years

For me, Double Fantasy was one of his best solo albums. Other than that, I don't have much use for his solo stuff. I prefer Harrison's solo work to all of the other Beatles.
