When I read like a year or so before DBTT was coming out that we would see a "fucking 10 track psychedelic rock n roll record" I was excited.
When I found out DIV was producing I became even more excited.
I want something that has a lot of synth and something that is pretty psychedelic. Both Noel and Liam have an interest in more trippy sounds.
Liam and Noel both participated with Shoot Down by Progidy.
Liam did vocals on scorpio rising
Noel did shit with the chemical brothers (Although most of its shit. I dont like the Chem brothers but noel helped them along)
Noel did Teotihuacan
I really believe Noel Liam Gem and Andy could pull something really interesting off. I'd love it. I love listenign to shoot down, I love scorpio rising, teotihuacan is awesome. What do you think?

I really like the chemical brothers collaborations, I think both are great.
I'm all for oasis trying new styles but no at the expense of another quality album (like dbtt) Maybe try out a few styles on b-sides?

I think they already tried this on HC. But the producing was shite, and to mellow. I still hope they will work with DIV again, and also do some great ochestra epics like Whatever, and Who put the weight of the wolrd on my shoulders. Tunes like "won't let you down' got these "strawberry fields mood' in them, they are great, and i really have good trust Oasis will release an interesing new album. But they should stop trying to make a next DM or Morning Glory, but just do what they can do best. Great rock 'n' Roll tunes, moving ballads, and spacy psychodelica!
Cheers !

Id love to see them doing this type of record, but I have to disagree with you about The Chemical brothers. Both the songs Noel has done with them are ace. Would love to see them recording something similar in sound to the Kasabian album. Mogly, I don't think this would be commercial suicide at all, not in the UK anway, I think it would be really well recieved here.

Would have loved to hear DIV's take on some of the DBBT songs - A Bell Will Ring, KTDA, etc. I think ultimately, despite all the talk of scheduling problems and "not having the songs" etc, they were justa bit too far out for Noel. A fucking shame. Scorpio Rising is AWESOME. Liam's best vocal since Let's All Make Believe.

They need Jay Darlington to join in the songwriting efforts. Some of his live intros into songs are amazing. On the DBTT tour his intro to GGTIA was ace! Or, perhaps some collaboration with Anton Newcombe? Just a thought....

I just bought a couple Kula Shaker albums from some online bargain bin and really like the more psychadelic sound, and think Oasis would do a great job with it.

honestly I loved what Dave Sardy did with DBTT, I really really hope they work with him again. I really think we will never get psychedelia or whatever from them, they are what they are, the are not radiohead, they are Oasis, and oasis plays rock n roll, thats it.

Radiohead isn't really psychedelic....
Oasis has been psychedelic in the past
Psychedelic and rock n roll go hand and hand, jenny.
Look at the beatles.

I would love to hear oasis go into a more psychedelic realm....... as long as it's not over electronic (meaning weird drum loops and loads of synths) although I do like that, but just not for oasis...... I want oasis to try new sounds as far as being more creative and not making normal pop songs. this would be great for a double album attempt, then they could have both!!!!!
I'd recommend "The Soundtrack Of Our Lives" for those of you who want a more psychedelic rock n' roll sound...... they aren't as cool as Oasis but they are more experimental, they use a wide range of musical instruments *no loops* they sound like they've come straight from the 60's more so than oasis..... I think that most of you will like them, the lead singer almost sounds like liam too, but not like a shite wanna be.... he has his own thing, there a great band!!!!!!

Yeah it'd be cool, but as said earlier a commercial suicide probably. And I think DBTT was a tiny step in that direciton. Small enough to still sell a lot of copies to the public.

Personally, I'd just be happy with a better setlist.
