Would love to meet Noel, with the pair of them, going off of various stories, I think it just depends what mood they're in when you bump into them. Heard stories of both of them being moody bastards  though it has to be said, on both occasions I've met Liam (although it was twice in the same day) he was a complete gent, which I was surprised at considering he had been sitting signing albums for ages, which would get quite boring quickly I would think but fair play to him he was sound. |

I met Noel on a night out... he wasn't pissed but he was merry! Very good night... his missus is fit too man haha

That's where I met him the first time, didn't ask for a photo though, I was a quick 'Top album mate, loving it' cause a lot of people took fuckin ages. Bumped into him again later that night at the bands hotel, which also happened to be where my school prom was which was brilliant. Told him he should play Gas Panic! live since it would fit with the other songs, n he said you never know, but he wanted to keep a decent amount of rockers in the set list. I also told him to break out Boy With The Blues n he seemed genuinely touched after about 15 minutes every other arsehole in the place had recognised him and was coming over for pictures n that, so I went n spoke to Jay, that guy just oozes cool man  |

Do they actually get a bad rap for interactions with fans though? All the stories in the press tend to about about interactions with reporters and other bands. I guess walking off stage might count, but that's nothing personal  Noel has been known to be a bit surly with fans. I know a couple of mates who have met the Gallaghers and both said that Liam was sound but Noel didn't really want to know. Nice to hear that he was on good form on this occasion. |

So I'm going to share a story with you that happened to me last week. I have been toying with whether or not I should share it, but fuck it It's a laugh! I was out with a few pals one night a few weeks ago including my brother and was quite merry. We were out with a mate of mine who has recently come into a bit of dough, so the night was firmly on him. Anyway, I was at the bar looking down at the main sort of dance floor bit when I hear my mate apologising for my brothers drunken antics (he had spilled a few drinks over somebody). I look back and see Noel with drink all down him, wet shoes everything. Not happy. I immediately join my mate in apologising for my brothers antics... I had to bite my tongue from saying 'i;m sure you can sympathise!' to him as I thought it was a bit too obvious haha. Anyway, he is all fine and tells us to enjoy our night - in a little bit of a huff. Now, my brother and I are huge Oasis fans... i go over to him, tell him what happened and he wants to go and apologise to him for being a bit of an idiot. We go over, two scruffs, to their table where everyone is looking all lovely and dressed up to apologise. Noel does a sort of jokey eye roll at me as if to say 'Look who you've brought over'. He apologises and Noel's missus, who is battered, moves over and offers us two seats at their booth / table thingy. Our eyes light up... we are now sat with Noel Gallagher and his friends (none of them were famous or anything like that.... just a quiet few drinks with friends). We were having a bit of banter about brothers and how there's always the younger brother to make the older one look a bit of a twat to which Noel pissed himself laughing at. We didn't ask him anything about a new album but, as two staunch LSD users, we wondered what had happened to the AA album; he said that they were a fucking pain in the arse and sapped the life out of him anytime he was in the studio with them. It was a great night... we were sat with them for 2 hours on-and-off. Really sweet, down to earth bloke and he was a pleasure to chat to. "Noel's missus, who is battered..." "he said that they were a fucking pain in the arse and sapped the life out of him anytime he was in the studio with them." I laughed so much at these, nice one mate, I really didn't think he'd react that way, sounded like a good night overall then! |
