Great story, I'm happy for you mate It's a shame the Gallaghers are always painted as twats in the press

Lucky bastard I guess it must take a lot of balls to have a "normal" conversation with the chief, I'd probably go into mental fanboy mode if I ever met him!

It was easy to be honest... you know that if you are there you shouldn't be all over him like flies on shit because it's just a bit embarrassing! I think he appreciated it to be honest!
I did make one little reference... he was asking me if I was in a band... I said no because we were looking for a bass guitarist, does he know what Guigs is up to? Because it was obviously a joke I didn't get an answer haha... tbf he probably doesn't even know!

I'd probably get down on my knees and scream "I'M NOT WORTHY!" in true Wayne's World fashion.

Wow, your night certainly took a turn for the better. You could have been the brother of the guy who spoiled Noel's clothes and shoes on a night out.

This totally blows away the time I met Tony McCarroll at a McDonalds in Connecticut in the summer of '04.

I'd go into mental fangirl mode, which is even worse It'd take a lot of restraint on my part too. I would have to repress the fangirl, and I'm not sure that would be possible

Nothing exciting, but reminds me about this time last year I was standing next to Alan McGee on the Docklands Light Railway from London City Airport having flown from Aberdeen.
Can't say I was star struck so I didn't bother speaking to him, I always thought he was a bit of a bellend.

My post was a total work of fiction. There was no Tony M sighting at McDonalds. There was no trip to Connecticut in the summer of 2004. Sorry.

This is a great story. As someone said, both brothers get a bad rap for their interactions with fans, when are a number of occasions like these where they're completely cordial to them.
Thanks for sharing!

Do they actually get a bad rap for interactions with fans though? All the stories in the press tend to about about interactions with reporters and other bands. I guess walking off stage might count, but that's nothing personal

Glad you had a great encounter, I'd be gutted if I met him and he told me to do one. Did you ask for a photo??

It was of me and him and he stuck his tongue out. I was battered and my mate opened it the next day but couldn't screen shot it! Was great haha, we were both drunk so he was all good with it.

Yes, mate. I'm not actually sure what it was called at the minute because I live in Manchester. I'll message my mate and ask him if you like? It was in Soho though because it took us fucking ages to get there from where my mate lives haha
