I know most on here don't like 3EB (and thus this thread will get 0 replies. But nevermind). I think they might be too American, being the reason. Their debut in the mid-90s is held in critical acclaim. And lest not forget they opened for Oasis once, too.
Semi-Charmed Life and Jumper are equally on the same level as Wonderwall - Classics from the 90s and still incredibly popular to this very day, always prompting a sing-a-long.
I know the Americans on here would validate 3EB - at the very least their 90s material.
After falling off the earth, their 4th album came out in 2009 (Their 3rd was in 2003. 6 year gap!). Has some good tunes on it, but like Oasis' material - falls very short of their earlier, best output from the 90s.
And another lengthy gap awaiting their next release. Going on 5 years.
But I found the following on Wiki:
On January 5, 2014, Jenkins tweeted "My New Years resolution is album five by summer..." The next day he then tweeted "We are in fact at the East West Studios in Hollywood recording album 5. So there".[31] --
Apparently, according to Wiki again, it's going to be their last.
Looking forward to it, though.
When they get it right, their tunes soar.

This band might as well have gotten lost on the S.S. Minnow.
