Noel's wife uploaded a picture of herself and Donovan (Noel's youngest) on a beach in LA today. Either noel has told them to fuck off whilst he's recording back home; or he's using the same studio on sunset strip that he used for the first high flying birds album. From what I've read in interviews he really loved it there so chances are that'll be it, but I thought it was worth sharing

Donovan is Noel's middle child. Sonny is the youngest. Sara did write TBT but I didn't realize until now what she meant! Maybe they are GOING to California soon?

I've found Sara's Facebook page, although I don't think it's her actual page.
Thanks.

frjdoasis defmaybe00 I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but everytime you two post to each other is in italian and no one understands a thing except you two. We've told you many times to please post in english. There are members from all over the world in this forum, imagine if everyone decides to chat in their own language? A total mess. Cheers

If he's gonna record the album in L.A, chances are the album will be full of cheerful and upbeat songs like Dream On & She Is Love :/
I hope this "news" is false speculation. I would prefer for him to stay in UK and create a dark doom and gloom album in the vein of AOTR & LTLSALOM.

Although I wish he would have more of these types of songs, I think that would be career suicide at this point. Mainstream isn't doom and gloom or dark right now. But maybe Noel could pull it off just because its Noel putting it out there.

But maybe Noel could pull it off just because its Noel putting it out there. You're right. At this point in his life/career, Noel really shouldn't care about commercial success and let his artistic side make the music it wants to make, we would get far superior quality that way (ala SOTSOG). But from the songs left out of the track list for NGHFB and the canning of the AA album, it's painfully obvious that he cares (too much) about the business side of things. In that respect, I appreciate Beady Eye for making Be and not chasing radio hits with it. Though to be fair, they don't really have the talent nor the ear to make a radio hit like Noel does, so it's understandable and perhaps even excusable for Noel to hold himself back creatively to appeal to the masses. As for Be, despite being creatively liberating - was still a product of the band's limited ability, I believe they even know that they can't make hits now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Noel chooses to record at the same studio again. He's open to some change, but he's also very much a creature of habit, and he knows what he likes. Anyway, it's not the studio so much that determines his sound, it's more about who he's working with, what musical decisions he makes, and the general tone of his life at the moment.
But I wouldn't say that the first HFB album is completely "upbeat" even if it has several cheerful songs. And even the cheerful songs have some darker lyrics. Everybody's On The Run is epic and it's hopeful, but certainly not cheery in a toe-tapping sort of way. At least not for me. Most of Noel's songs, even when they're happy/hopeful, have some underlying melancholy anyway. That blend of melancholy and hopefulness is one of the things I love about Oasis and Noel's songwriting.
