I think this is a rockin tune. It's not their best. But it is solid. Why do people hate it so much? Good energy, good lyrics.... I hope Oasis will create more albums, I think they will release one around 2007 or 2008, I Know they are the best fookin band EVER!!

I love that song too. Liam's vox is great. it has a great energy to it... it's a shame they never played it live. it's one of the most underrated oasis songs but people who like BHN tend to love this song as well

it's one of the most underrated oasis songs but people who like BHN tend to love this song as well im in that catogory. when i first heard bhn i liked it (this is in 2002) then i read all the reviews and criticism and went 'hmm, they have a point' and my like lessened a bit (but i have never thoguht it was 'crap' the way so many people disregard it) but i listened to it properly a few weeks ago and thought it sounded great. its the last oasis record that was big and brash, the oasis of old. i alwasy feel oblisged to reiterate that yes, i do love hc and dbtt but for different reasons. it feels like albums from 2 different bands, well not really, but little of that attitude that defined oasis is evident in the later records.

Great song! Full of energy, and one of the Liams finest vocals ever.

this is one of my favs from BHN. Noel said it best though, it's like Hey Now, a quality song but isn't talked about much. i think that's the perfect explanation about it. it is a little poppy for me sometimes, but it's a classic oasis feel-good song.
- cheers !

It gotta be up there with My Big Mouth and Magic Pie as one of the worst songs Noel has penned so far.
Absolute rubbish.

I don't know why, but I always skip it, same as Roll With It...

Sorry mate, I think its boring as hell In fact that whole album is apart from DYKWIM, Stand By Me and Dont Go Away. It's the exact opposite of what I loved about Oasis in the first place. That whole 97/98 period was just horrible. The end of the party.

It's a good tune. Stop talking about Stand By Me, that is the overrated song

i love this song and the way the melody turns over on it's self. there are no vocal melody breaks save for the guitar solos/melodies.
i also noticed Noel nicked his own lyrics from this song for Lyla " heaven help you catch me when i fall..."

Another reason "I Hope I Think I Know" is so good is how great it is live. I'd love to see this in a live set with the current line-up.

Well no unless the lads came round one day and gave you a private performance in your bedroom? Noel almost played it acoustically on TFI Friday once, but Chris Evans didnt have a plectrum in his house
