Yeah, I've gotta go Money, Money, Money and Waterloo as well. Both are completely brilliant pop songs (obviously), but Money, Money, Money is actually a great sounding record as well - the drums are fantastic, the guitars as well, and for once, the keyboards don't betray it as 70s, euro-pop record, they are actually instrumental to the record.

Tough question! I think either SOS or One of Us. Both classic pop songs.

What's everyone's favourite track? SOS and Lay All Your Love On Me. The Visitors is a great tune too - can't seem to find a link on YouTube but it's brilliant. Synths sound outdated but structurally the tune is excellent.

Portishead have recorded a cover of ABBA's SOS for Ben Wheatley's forthcoming film adaptation of High Rise (due for UK release 18.03.2016). Looking forward to hear this. Read about this here (the article doesn't include the track btw, just the announcement).

Synths sound outdated but structurally the tune is excellent. Lay All Your Love On Me is a tune!!! ABBA at their best - fantastic arrangement and so much drama! I visited the ABBA museum in Stockholm last summer a day before Noel's gig. Like many of the previous posters I just know the songs on Gold but seeing their instruments, clothing, interviews AND the original ABBA letters they had on stage was an immense experience! Someday soon I'll start collecting their catalogue... I prefer their darker/moodier stuff so I'm going to begin with their last albums.

Obviously S.O.S is brilliant - a favourite of John Lennon, Ray Davies, Pete Townshend and Eric Clapton can't be too bad, can it? - but completely agree with you on One Of Us. All the tunes you mentioned are great, but that one really is quite something, I think. One hell of a pop song.

Didn't Glen Matlock say he knicked the riff of S.O.S for Anarchy in the Uk or God Save the Queen, I remember reading that somewhere. One of Us, another great tune all about Divorce and been left on your own, but ends up been a great pop single that you end up singing at a wedding lol. That Super Trouper album is fantastic as is The Visitors, think of that album as like the pop version of Radioheads Kid A. Fantastic band, it's only over the last few years they are getting the respect they deserve.

Punk Rock episode, but that was like 7 years ago now The only mistake Abba did was making those awful spanish versions of their songs.

Björn-Benny are definitely on the same level as Lennon-McCartney.

They had two or three great songs, but other than that? I really don't get the hype, and that's coming from a Swede.
