I remember someone describing Liam's vocals on Wonderwall as waivering in and out of tune. Never noticed that myself but yeah, enjoyed this.

I think that sounded horrible, music isnt meant to be perfect and 'clean' , by removing flaws from a recorded song you remove its soul and feeling
Just my opinion on this

Oasis updated to the 21st Century FTW! (WTF, more like, but nevermind. Noel's dyslexic, remember....).

Sounds like One Direction....
Appreciate Liam's voice even more when used with todays trickery.
Imagine the most perfect vocal of all time in Listen Up (IMO) being autotuned, it doesn't bear thinking about.

I'm pretty sure voices were tuned on the last few albums... To a lesser extent, of course.
For example, Where Did It All Go Wrong and Little By Little are definitely tuned.

I don't know about Little By Little, but WDIAGW, Noel did that song live, it was perfect. He didn't use auto-tune then and still had no problem hitting the notes. I see no reason why they'd tune the studio version if he can nail it live.

There's a difference between pitch correction and the T-Pain effect. I'm sure pitch correction was used on the last few Oasis albums. It's industry standard at this point and is used on even the best of singers (and, let's be honest, Liam was pretty ragged around DBTT/DOYS).

to all oasis fans and people with an ear for "auto correction/ auto tune" on records, historically the single most "tuned" thing oasis has recorded is "Merry Xmas Everyone" the slade cover. it is almost blatantly badly pitch corrected.

One of the Oasis producers (I have no idea who it was - I'm thinking it was Mark Stent) said that Liam often needed pitch correction on his tunes, but it wasn't for lack of talent, it was basically lack of effort as he would piss off at the soonest opportunity!
Rather that laziness than actually him being a shit singer.

He just sings it that way.

I'm sure I remember reading here that pitch correction was used on all the albums, back to Definitely Maybe.

Autotune is a particular software tool (like how not every photo editing software is Photoshop), but there was pitch correction options long before that came out

I'd be surprised if there's any prominent band out there that hasn't used pitch correction at some point.
