I suppose it had potential, but it just doesn't go anywhere. Too repetitive and monotonous, Mucky Fingers-esque. And the quote at the end is great and all but after the 2nd or 3rd play of the song I've been skipping it everytime

One of the best Beady Eye songs in their war chest. However it is not one of the best songs ever. Far from it.

There are very very few songs which I love from the first listen.
FOTF is one of them, the intro and outro especially stand out. Probably Beady Eye's best song with FLW, The Roller and The Morning Son imo.
Its not the best song ever but it is the best song in quite some time.

Not the best son ever, but the best post Oasis song for me (including Noel tunes)
The intro is superb and the horns made o lot...
I don't know why, but it has this "bollocks attitide" or how would I describe it...Noel does not do these songs anymore, Oasis used to. Like a statement we're fucking here, let s have it...a perfect opener for a gig and even better for an album.

Flick Of The Finger is definitely a good song. Their best? Probably not. Top 5 for sure.

LOL! I love it but play even like Go Let It Out or Lyla, just some of post 2000 Oasis' best songs and it doesn't quite measure up Soon Come Tomorrow is still the best song on that album imo, third time lucky Andy Bell perfects the Keep the dream alive/Kill for a dream type song

Don't know how people can like Soon Come Tomorrow with the cringy "Smoke it don't drop it" and "Breathe in breathe out and then breathe in again" lines.
FOTF is massive on the other hand. Certainly best post Oasis song that's been made including all of NGHFB'S stuff.

I agree with everyone who says it's great, I think it's fucking incredible! Best in BE and in the top 3 post oasis songs and it could easily be a successful oasis single IMO

FOTF is a beast of a tune! That's the swagger I want in this band.

FOTF is MEGA and has any right to BE one of the best songs ever cause after all its just a matter of taste.
btw, imo, FOTF is 10/10, up to Oasis classics. the same about FLW too.

imagine this a year ago :
Beady Eye announces new single : Flick Of The Finger
1. Flick Of The Finger 2. World's not set in stone 3. Evil Eye
a proper release with a proper video (same mood as the one they've made..but with something going on)
this would have been a nice (edit: GREAT) comeback. people excited to listen : first single that would become BE's best song , old Liam song we knew already from a couple of years ago and a song we've only heard live through some shit youtube recording (thanks to the people who recorded anyway.

That song live is an absolute monster and killer. I mean when you're actually there, not on you tube.

The bit where the drums kick in properly, after the "universal gleam" line... Immense, especially live
