They slag off the stones for doung it for money , Dave doesent want that , but ray sId it's as close now as ever even tho there is still animosity they both are talkng .....trust me for you younger cats it these two brothers can ever regroup for a anniversary the gallaghers are a lock cause there animosity pales to the Davies brothers

Decline and Fall of the British Empire and Village Green Preservation Society are two of the greatest albums ever made. I personally prefer them to the Rolling Stones (and I think the Rolling Stones are great).
I'd like to see that, there's more worth in this than an Oasis reunion personally. Ray Davies can still sing and put on a great performance unlike Liam.

I know I hope. It was a interesting read , Dave actually seemd up for it , IF it wasn't done like the stones purely for money or to. Just doing you really got me ....and ray seeemed encouraged. I saw them many times on the 80 s always a great show live ,, would be nice .. Love to hear celluoid heroes live again. Love that tune

Don't do it Ray!
Nothing immense about this performance...
I'm sorry to say it, but this is piss poor, it really is. He doesn't look like he has the energy to tour again

I wasn't saying anything about you.. Just saying the truth which anyone who saw would have seen.. Well, as many others think here, there is more than enough evidence to suggest he is a great performer. And The Kinks don't get their status by being just liked by pensioners - who do you think they are, Cliff Richard or Daniel O Donnell? I'm just in the belief that most performers are more impressive than Liam, unless you enjoy the 'Kermit being strangled to death' noise which emanates from his mouth these days. It genuinely makes me cringe when I see Liam performing these days. It just makes me think of what used to be, and I love Oasis so much I'd hate to see them ruin their legacy, because that is what would happen. I wish some fans would realise this ain't the 90s anymore.

You're hitting the nail on the head and a reunion would tarnish their leagacy.. the kinks i'm talking about this aint the 60's anymore (and the evidence i personally seen show he cant perform like that). This is no way just a slight on him at all he is a legend Also my original comment re: pensioners is cos that's who made up majority of his audience (at the paticular gig im talkin about obv other may be different) sorry if that offends you but it was a truthful comment. You know where there's loads of slightly fat mid 30s at noel/beady gigs and even fatter 40-50 year olds at weller gig same as for his show just pensioner age. Tho sure a reunion will bring out all the cool kids to the shows 'that always loved him and the kinks etc'

I guess you like Noel... very much.

Liam can't sing anymore, but he COULD sing, and he was the best singer ever - please note I am talking about Liam NOW. I remember him singing Live Forever at Heaton Park and it was so depressing. Ray Davies is still great. Perhaps a full scale arena tour wouldn't do him justice, but he played Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow in 2012, which is a bit more intimate and suits him and his tunes well.

To be fair matt Liam is like a great puncher ya know ? Every now and again I hear a gig where I say he's fucking back !!! One day I hope he puts all back ...I know you do as well.

You are right, it's just sad that it isn't on a consistent basis. He rests a couple of months and then, bang, he's on fire. He quits the smoking and goes on long runs and gets his pipes in top shape. One wish would be for Liam to get his voice back, everyone who loves Oasis would love that. I'm a big fan of Liam, and I was gutted with BE because I loved Flick of the Finger and Soul Love so it didn't live up to my expectations when hearing it in full. Some folk however need to get a grip because they get in a ridiculous frenzy if you dare criticise him. I am not Team Noel or Team Liam or any of that bullshit. All I think is that Noel has got it spot on with his solo album and live performances so I prefer that to anything Liam does at the moment.

Just look who pops up when there is a Noel story or Liam story ,so predictable it's pathetic. you could almost post what they will say before it pops up , some just are permanent rah rah team players ..me I'm OASIS.
