The Be Here Now reissue can't come soon enough. That I 100% agree with how about they do a Be Here Now(naked) or a BHN redux, as Noel once thought of doing. That'd be HUGE.

I'm not hearing much difference even through my mega speakers but the songs do sound good. As many others have said this is the album that needed the least work, just a bit of tidying up and some depth added. Despite the minor changes I've just ordered it. Thanks to eva for posting the spotify link, for something costing £50 i needed to have a listen before I committed to buying I do however hope the MG and BHN remasters have some significant changes. They do not sound fine as they are!!!!

Amazing! Has immediately become my favourite version of the song.

Find it incredible that this still hasn't been leaked. Is leaked the right word if it's already out? Not really.

I do however hope the MG and BHN remasters have some significant changes. They do not sound fine as they are!!!! Don't get your hopes up. The changes are going to be subtle. BHN needs re-mixing to affect any major change and I'm not confident a remaster will be enough to get me to appreciate it more. It's always been an annoying record for me. MG really just needs tidying up, but I'm not expecting any cathartic moment from it. Remaster is a bit of an overused/misunderstood term and more often than not people will be let down by a remaster because the changes aren't significant enough to them, as they're not meant to be. Older records benefit more because the differences in technology are so drastic. IE The Beatles' recorded on 2, 4, and 8 tracks by the time their career ended, remastering on modern equipment/tech improved those records sonically, and fairly significantly. Heck the stereo remaster of Abbey Road sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Oasis' records are more modern so the changes are more likely to be subtle than anything truly eye-opening unless the original master is just incredibly bad and none of Oasis' records are mastered that bad. BHN is mixed awfully though.

It's just stuff from the 2004 DVD but the clowns at Rolling Stone think it's new.

The albums are on a private tracker, mate of mine found it. Waiting to get it from him. It's in FLAC 1.5 GB Edit: So I'll link to a twitter account who might have the download link. That was allowed by the admins am I correct?

Can't wait to get my boxset. It should be quite fun to open. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to ship to the states.

It's struck me that that version of Half the World Away isn't labelled as a demo like a lot of the other tracks. Noel has always said there are no demos for any of the tracks on Morning Glory, but maybe he recorded these little acoustic run throughs, and never considered any of those as demos. So maybe we'll see some more of these on the Morning Glory box set. I hope so - we'd already got the majority of the Definitely Maybe bonus material, and if there are no alternative Morning Glory tracks, I guess we'll get some live versions that we're all used to.

Listening to I am The Walrus and isn't it the same version as released on the Masterplan? And wasn't that a rehearsal at a Sony event? I recall an interview in which Noel said it was lame to call it a rehearsal so they renamed it as a live gig.

I recall an interview in which Noel said it was lame to call it a rehearsal so they renamed it as a live gig. They could have called it 'I Am The Walrus (Live at Gleneagles, 1994)' and no-one one would have gave a toss. They didn't even need to have given it a location, they could have done what they did with Supersonic from the previous single, which was recorded at the same place. And they did the same thing with that version of Bring It On Down which was given away on a magazine cassette, gave it the Cathouse credit. Really strange.

Noel should sing like he sings on this Half The World Away recording all the time instead of belting.

Just listening to the iTunes samples. The Married With Children demo sounds crystal clear, in stereo as well, IIRC the album version is virtually in mono. Half The World Away sounds charming as well. The Manchester Academy tracks sound great, wonder why anything from that recording was never released before now. EDIT: Oh, Slide Away doesn't have the Noel "slide in baby, together we'll fly" backing vocals. Amazon Japan also has samples, including the Japanese bonus tracks. It's only got the first 40 odd seconds of Shakermaker, but it sounds very much like the demo currently in circulation. Bring It On Down sounds pretty unique, somewhere in between the version of the Safety Masters boot, and the finished mix. Anyone have a link to the Amazon Japan previews?

Those two Japanese bonus tracks are something else, comfortably two of the best bonus tracks on the entire release. Why couldn't they have been included on the worldwide set? Shakermaker is indeed the demo we had in circulation before, including the coke line, but finally in excellent fidelity. Bring It On Down is great as well, definitely not included on Safety Masters, and an entirely new Liam vocal as well, with little phrasing differences here and there to give it a bit of unique quality.
