If I'm being totally honest, I'm one of these people who would much rather consider going to a concert (they don't do many gigs in germany in my area), if it's likely that I'll hear Oasis songs. That mainly because I'm a fan of Oasis and not that much of Beady Eye's music and I've never seen Oasis live. Still, I don't really know if I want them to play Oasis songs. It's slightly paradox, I know, but that's just how I feel.

It's a double edged sword really I guess. If I was at a Beady Eye gig and they played Champagne Supernova would I really honestly be disappointed, of course not.
Is it going to do their reputation any good, probably not as they will just been seen as oasis lite. Also if you hear Chapagne Supernova or Live Forever next to Bring The. Light or Second Bite Of the apple for example I'm not sure the Beady Eye tracks come off so well. Even if they played Turn Up the Sun and Songbird they would sound better than most Beady Eye songs except for a few.
My personal point of view is if they have any dreams of being successful they need to play their own tunes, however unless they step up their game for the next album with some better songs I can't see that happening. BE is decent but I only find myself listening to 3-4 tracks.

They should keep Give Me Shelter in the setlist as the final song. It's different to playing songs from your previous band, but as I say if I was at a Beady Eye gig I would not moan if they played some Oasis ;-)

no I mean, that the set list seems faked, because who needs a setlist for soundchecks? AND no one ever has written "give me shelter" and I think stones fans like them never would to this either.

Ah sorry, got the wrong end of the stick.
I'm a stones fan and I just wrote give me rather than Gimme so maybe they could too ;-)

I can't say I've ever heard of bands having a setlist for sound checks either but I could be wrong.

I can't say I've ever heard of bands having a setlist for sound checks either but I could be wrong. Oasis did that for sure during the DOYS tour. Not sure about before that.

lol @ Tom exposing himself as an irrational BDI fanboy, but most of us already knew that anyway.
BDI better than Oasis live lololol. The worst Oasis crowd alone shits on any BDI show in existence.

I think he meant as a band on stage, not because of the crowd. but Chris Sharrok for example is a fantastic drummer, Andy Bell and Gem Archer are great guitar players, their organ piano player does a great job. The only thing I worry is Jay Mehler, cause its like he isn`t there. Andy Bell was miles better and Jeff Wooton was the best I think.

The 2 times I've seen Beady Eye were much better gigs than the two times i saw Oasis on the DOYS tour (which is the only time i've seen them live)
I have no doubt going from videos alone that Oasis were a much better like experience than Beady Eye, I'd have literally killed to have been at some of the 90's gigs but on their last tour they really were going through the motions, seeming uninterested with a shit sound engineer etc
So what I'd say is Beady Eye (Who've been pretty consistent live) are better than Oasis were at their worst.

I'm guessing they are playing CS because of what Noel said before about NOT playing it in the High Flying Birds tour. IIRC, Tim Smith wanted to play it and Noel said no.

and i mean that in a good way.
Thanks.

Why are you talking about crowds? I think they make a better noise. I loved seeing Oasis live they were great band. That doesn't mean I can't say that as a group of musicians playing together I prefer the sound they make. You have merely exposed yourself as an over sensitive, irrational Oasis fanboy.
