So what do we make of him?  Always looked like a top guy and a decent guitarist @ kasabian... I guess he will not contribute to the next BE album or anything or will he...is he a permannt member? Might be interesting what he thinks bout Beady Eye now, or it doesn' t matter to him... have u known he' s from US? |

I remember when he moved to Beady Eye from Kasabian, Tom Meighan praised him saying something like "Jay's my brother but he needs to be on the road".
I just found it quite unfortunate when "on the road" turned out to be holed up for ages waiting for Gem to stop being broken.
He's a good musician, he has a great grounding in Kasabian and fits in well live - but Jeff did some great work when recording BE so it's difficult to compare the two.

He looks stoned all the time. I think he doesn't give a fuck. He looks like any other guy standing in line for an Oasis, Beady Eye or Noel Gallagher show. This band has a type. |

Decent bass play but he's a bit like a vase... doesn't do much and is hardly noticeable.
And I'm not saying that as an insult. Oasis and Beady Eye have had a history of that kind of bass player. Guigsy and Jeff were like that as well.

don't mind him. Jeff was great. had a great sound, played cool, dressed cool and really contributed gerat lines to BE.

Jay's a legend... As far as I'm aware, he's always welcome back to Kasabian, and he just wants to play live music for people. He doesn't do it out of greed or anything, he just love music and what it does to people.
I once told him that I looked up to him, because he was in my favourite band of all time, and I said he brinks a massive live element to the band... He genuinely shed a tear, took off his glasses, said "Thanks, man. That means SO much to me." He gave me a hug and shook my hand... He then said "If I ever play with Kasabian again, it's for you."
Also, his nickname is Cheesus, because he used to be a Vicar, and he's from Philadelphia.
Used to be a grave digger as well.

Jay is really cool and approachable. Always smiling.
That's funny because he almost seems to be shy on stage.

DEfinitely an easiest job to have for a bass player. He doesnt give a fuck as others are in the spotlight. He doesnt contribute to writing songs so he doesnt give a fuck. He is friendly and cool-looking what is his job to do and he is just out there for a paycheck |
