Sounds really good, love the way he sings Gimmie Shelter, cracking bite to it and the band have nailed it down in their own style.
Get it out properly to the public Beady Eye!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm fine with people posting covers, but when they are only posting the covers and none of the other songs, you know the ones that are supposed to be the main draw of the show, it just sort of pushes my buttons.

There's just that part to his voice that I hate hearing now, like a muffling in his throat, he sounds fine in all the other bits but when I hear that I get why a lot of people aren't interested.

I'm fine with people posting covers, but when they are only posting the covers and none of the other songs, you know the ones that are supposed to be the main draw of the show, it just sort of pushes my buttons. They are the better songs. They are what the majority want to hear. Sad but very true. |

They are the better songs. They are what the majority want to hear. Sad but very true. Wonderwall is better. Cigs and Alch just depends on my mood, sometimes better or worse. I never liked Gimme Shelter. But this is beside the point. Even if you think they are better, people aren't going to the gigs for these three songs. They are going to hear Beady Eye play Be and DGSS tunes. |

Because I'm not sure it is humanly possible to not like the stones version

Yawn. It's Liam Gallagher - the lead singer of Oasis for fifteen years - singing Oasis songs again because he wants to, because folk want to hear them (as they're classics and For Anyone-er-isn't) and because he can.
They've been playing Oasis stuff for the last two years, it's happening, and continually whining about it isn't going to change that.

But I've given their music a try and I just didn't take to it. I think the only song I care for that they made was Paint It Black, and that is primarily because it's nostalgic for me. I do love The Beatles and enjoy a few of The Kinks tunes so I'm not completely devoid of music that allowed Oasis to be as great as they became. |

Thats probably one of the best versions i've heard of Wonderwall, his voice obviously can sound much better but the band sounds great

People really need to get over the whole playing Oasis songs/why don't they play some of their own Oasis songs malarkey.
The vast majority at every single gig, no matter the band, want to hear the hits. It's the same at a Noel gig, the vast majority want to hear Don't Look Back in Anger. I went to 13 Oasis gigs during their time, did I want to hear Don't Look Back In Anger again? No not really, but I could understand it. Yeah some of the hardcore fans would like to see it mixed up, but get over it.
And to simplify Beady Eye playing Oasis songs that they didn't write as 'covers' is disingenuous. A cover is something you had absolutely nothing to do with. Liam sang the f-ing songs they're 'covering'. Gimme Shelter is a 'cover', Wonderwall is not.
Does this forum just go over old ground over and over and over again? Maybe we need a new thread on Liam's voice?
