Scottish trio The Twilight Sad are reissuing their exhilarating debut album Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters for Record Store Day on Saturday 19 April 2014 through FatCat Records. To celebrate, the band are giving away a free download of their recent Paisley Abbey show with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Wow, my mate was at this gig, he said it was amazing. With the orchestra and the setting, this was one gig I would have loved to seen. This was back in October I think, there were some videos put up on YouTube.
Fantastic gig, definitely downloading this - great great band for offering live freebies.

You can watch the videos of this performance on the Fatcat Records website, matt.
Only for 500 people, I would have loved to see this gig too. James sung fantastic, as well as Andy who did a brilliant job as a guitarist.
You can watch their full performance with Royal Scottish National Orchestra at Paisley Abby in 2013:

Shame that the video isn't full performance although it says so. It misses a couple of songs. I can't get enough of listening to this live album. So beautiful.
matt, I have no idea when the new album is out. They must have started with recording now. They do have a few live dates coming due to their first album being re-released on Record Store Day in April. I think new album will be out afterwards.

Even matt is the only member of this forum who reads this thread, I'll continue to update with the news. A Dundonian band called "Vladimir" is supporting The Twilight Sad on their upcoming UK tour. This new band is well known as "the loudest band in Dundee" (waiting for globe's comment). I just listened to their songs and I like them. Only I don't like their band name. soundcloud.com/vladimirukYou can also free download "Come Over" on their bandcamp page: vladdundee.bandcamp.com/Also The Sad's are supporting Manics in Edinburgh and Glasgow in April. I like Manics and gonna see them in May again, but Sad's supporting them...I do have a mix feeling to be honest.

That's a big gig to support the Manics, hope it will gain them a few new fans too. One thing I can say about the Manics is they've always supported obscure bands.
