The date has just been announced and it's 19th April, so get on your shoes, pick your filled wallet, go to your record store, look around, enjoy and get what you only can get on this day: www.recordstoreday.com/HomeI bought Noel's 12 inch vinyl (European non-numbered version), London Calling 7 inch by The Clash, "Suedehead" picture disc by Moz in 2012. I bought 12 inch The Verve EP (the disc is pink!), Weller's 7 inch, Moz's picture disc again, Killing Moon by Ian McCulloch and more. I spent too much money last year, but enjoyed instore gig in my local record store. I really want to get the re-issue of The Twilight Sad's debut album (12 inch) on this year's RSD.

Record Store Day is exciting and fun, even if you aren't looking for anything in particular. Its wonderful to just flip through the racks, knowing that you just might find something really special.

There's some excellent independent music stores in Glasgow, so considering I am here for the forseeable future, will definitely put this in my diary. I know one called Love Music, just in the city centre, and it is fantastic for a bargain, in addition to its encyclopedic stock.
