Got anything absolutely amazing by relatively unknown acts? Would be interesting to hear some great new discoveries if you have any!
Anyway, thought I might include Australian band The Go-Betweens on here. Massively influential band, massively critically praised but criminally underrated in that they had no chart success. Tragically, their lead singer Grant McLellan died of a heart attack 11 years ago, but a wave of massive bands cite them as a major influence.
A great hidden gem, brilliant lyrically and melodically. Here's probably their most chart friendly song.

The Seahorses - Blinded By The Sun (not that obscure but brilliant none the less!) AFI - Miss Murder Flobots - Handlebars Twisted Wheel - She's A Weapon The Prodigy - Their Law (again, not particularly obscure) Trailer Trash Tracy's - You Wish You Were Red Howl - Controller Young MC - Know How
All of them are worth a listen!

Here's probably their most chart friendly song. The Go-Between are fantastic. Pure pop bliss. Love Goes On is a wonderful tune as well. Arches are really underrated. Fans who like chamber pop or Beach House-ish type of music should check them out Some fans on this site should enjoy The Orwell's. Straight up no frills rock n roll. Kinda like the Strokes but with more edge and less style. Smith Westerns also need to get more credit. Dye It Blonde came out in 2011 and got some press but their newest Soft Will didn't get that much, it has my personal favorite song of 2013. Noel would be proud of a chorus like this.

Great thread, matt!
Two Wooden Spoons by This Is The Kit:
I saw them supporting The National in November and I really like this song. They were fantastic live.
"Hyndland Weather Bear" by French Wives:
No need to say cos I'm sure people who knows me very well should know why I like this song.

Keep these coming guys, these tunes are genuinely fantastic - I WANT MORE!
This tune is fantastic by Roddy Woomble - a lovely, windswept folk tune.

Kid Harpoon:
I bought his EP in my local record shop years ago and fell in love with this song. Absolute beatufil and very talented.
Lisa Germano:
She's been worked with so many musicians like Neil Finn, my forever guitar hero etc. Brilliant musician, but too underrated.
