I'd say Whatever, Shakermaker, but my 1st choice would definitely be SCYHO.

I know everyone is totally entitled to their opinions and I respect the opinion of whoever it was who said dlbia was overrated BUT to say the riff is from imagine is just not true, John Lennon was not the first to use C then F, and if you listen then you really can tell the difference.DLBIA is my personal fave but to each his own.
In terms of the overrated songs I would not say Roll It Over (even though by Oasis standards it is fairly kack) because for something to be overrated surely it has to havebeen widely rated at sum point lol.Personally for me it would be Born on a different cloud,a boring song realy droning.Better Man is far better, man!LOL!

^^^^ you say Roll It Over can't be overrated because it has to be widely rated at some point....yet Born On a Different Cloud was apparently widley rated at some point ? i must have missed that...i NEVER hear anyone talk about BOADC or RIO for that matter. but maybe i'm wrong. in my opinion those two songs are really underrated. but that's just me and i know it's all opinion.
- cheers !

three months ago i would hav honestly said the importance of being idle. Now that I've awoke from my haze of stupidity and realized what a fantastic tune it is, i'd have to say: the ALBUM version of cigs and alcohol. Live, it absolutely wails. Th album version carries decent lyrics, but the speed rivals that of a fully-loaded cement truck grinding uphill. just too slow...good, but the hype is sometimes unbearable for me.

Probably Slide Away, people keep saying how great it is, but I don't see anything special about it. Alot of the songs on DM are overrated, but the album as a whole is brilliant. People don't look at the big picture?

And someone already got it right about Wonderwall. it's a magical song but overexposure and the many pricks that know the words to it simply ruin a bit of the magic of the song to us harcore fans It personally makes me CRINGE when frat boys & their girlies know all the words at gigs to this song. Most overrated oasis songs for me would be: Rock n Roll Star, Cast No Shadow, SCYHO & LTBL. The last 2 are pretty much the same song, same formulaic pieces of rubbish. RARS gets a bit redundant for me towards the end...CNS is a bit corny in my opinion.

For me its "Rock 'n' Roll Star" hands down. I know it played a huge role in defining the band early on, but its really not that great of a song, imo. I agree compltely I've come to almost completely dislike the tune..... unless it's the live version or something

I already threw in my two cents and said The Hindu Times. But i also wanted to say that i think The Meaning of Soul is HIGHLY overrated. I don't get what people like so much about this song. If you want me to be honest, i think it's coz Liam wrote it and it's a more recent song that hasn't had the time to fade like others have. That's the only reasons i can think of. I think it's a great title for a song and that's about it. The tempo is decent but the lyrics are lame in my opinion.
- cheers !
