imo he was always just gonna be a stand in for giugs cos as soon as he got over his nervous exhaustion he rejoined oasis so that guy would of been booted

Oddly enough, there was a guy in my high school graduating class by that name.

Anyway, there are not much places where he can be. He must be there where Guigsy is. they all live in that Oasis past members retirement house. it's full.

imo he was always just gonna be a stand in for giugs cos as soon as he got over his nervous exhaustion he rejoined oasis so that guy would of been booted Actually at the time within the industry he was seen as a permanant replacement as Guigs was genuinely ill (not life threatening but potentially serious) and undiagnosed at that point. The fortuitous thing for Guigs was that a Harley Street GP had successfully diagnosed him and got him on the road to recovery around the time Scott decided he couldn't cope mentally with being in Oasis. Marcus Russell had kept in touch to make sure Guigs was doing alright, with it being Guigs himself suggesting to Marcua he replace the outgoing Scott. The story after that to the press was Guigs was just having time off, always coming back, etc. but for a period in 1995 Scott McLeod was very much seen as a replacement for the departed Paul McGuigan.

He just really missed his bird. 😂 That was Noel's version of events, although Scott's at the time wasn't much better claiming he compared Oasis to St Jack which was his then current band and chose the latter. Having gigged unsuccessfully in the Ya-Ya's with Paul Newsome (later of Sour Mash signings Proud Mary) I can't quite believe he chose another slog over the success of Oasis. I've written this before but after Guigsy's departure at the time industry rumours were the position was vacant with the intention of a permanent replacement, and if Scott had been able to cope with the pressure it's entirely possible he would have been on bass guitar duties for Earl's Court, Maine Road, Loch Lomond and Knebworth before going on to record 'Be Here Now' with the band. Whether it was simply the pressure or perhaps other factors such as feeling unable to gel personally with other band members that led to Scott's abrupt departure I don't know, and although Guigsy I assume would be grateful he did for the chance to return to the fold I do wonder if Scott himself has any lasting regrets over his time in 1995.

No doubt at the time Scott McLeod was considered a permanent replacement for Guigsy, otherwise he wouldn't have featured in the "Wonderwall" video with the rest of the band.
Just look at Oasis promo pics after Alan White was sacked: there's only Liam, Noel, Gem & Andy, not the current drummer (Zak or Sharrock).

How many gigs did he play in total.and is there a list? I have the original stage used setlist Baltimore, 10th Oct. 1995 which is signed by the compl line up incl Scott (my only signature by this member). Think there are really not a lot complete signed sets including him out there.
Bet yeah, does anyhone have a answer for my question howclong he joyned the band and how many gigs he played?
Cheers! Hendrik

Oasis played as a 4 piece on Letterman on the 19th of October, as Scott fucked off already.

The La Luna - Brussels (Belgium) - 31st October was played as a 4 piece. Bonehead was either on bass or the gig was cancelled.

I know Scott. I started going to the Sump Hole pub (now called The Crown) in Chadderton, Oldham around 2005. He was one of the regulars. Pretty quiet chap but friendly. His mates told us about the Oasis connection and we didn’t believe it at first. Scott said he quit because he fell out with Liam or Noel (I can’t remember which). But obviously he did not really like to talk about it so we didn’t quiz him too much. I rarely go out around the Chadderton pubs that are left but have seen him on occasion and he always lets on. Think he is a plasterer or painter / decorator.

I think i read something about how they'd wanted to interview him for the Supersonic doc, but were unable to track him down.

Imagine if it had worked out with scott, then Andy Bell would have never joined Oasis and we would never have heard Nature Of Reality.
