This is one of my favourite early Oasis tracks. The only problem is that it is not a proper studio recording (I think its maybe from a radio session?).
I would love to hear this song re-recorded by the band. I think it would sound great with the current band set up and only a proper recording will do this song justice.
Anyone agree?

i think the original is from a gig.. i couldn't tell you where.. i don't know much about it to be honest.
It would be great but i don't see them going back to it.. shame really

yeah, im sure they've got a few old tracks they never recorded properly....but its just not them now. i have grudgingly accepted that oasis 2006 is a decidedly different band from th early 90s, and that we wont ever get anything like that in the future because the songs are different, and they dont have the same attitude. they still have attitude in buckets but its not the same 'we're gonna fuckin take over the wooooorld!!!' which is the sentiment in like all off DM

the version of i will believe that's on the Supersonic single was recorded during the sessions with the Real People in Liverpool.
the same session where noel actually wrote Supersonic in the studio.

i've never heard the song, but i've read the lyrics and i think they're some of my favorite. i wish they'd re-do some of their older work.
- cheers !

Any evidence of that? I have Noel quoted as saying it was from a BBC radio session in 1993. Also, the Real People Liverpool session were in the spring of 1993 whereas Supersonic was written and recorded in December 1993.

it's really a simple early oasis punkish song...the time is over for it and I bet noel has forgotten he even wrote it by now.
saying that, I still like the song.

it is what it is. it's a great song but they shouldn't be re-recording anything.

Well Tony Griffiths was credited with doing backing vocals on Supersonic, so he was certainly there at the time. But that wasn't during the Spring 93 demo sessions. I'll have another look at the DM DVD now, see what I can find out. I really would love to see that interview with Tony Griffiths to hear what he had to say about Take Me Away and I Will Believe as I've hardly ever heard Noel comment on those two songs apart from once when he said I Will Believe was taken from a radio session.

Supersonic was recorded at The Pink Museum in Liverpool in December 1993. The b-sides were probably done at the same time. As they were in Liverpool, Tony Griffiths probably met up with the band and got roped in to doing some backing vocals.
