I like the thread where we list our favorites, because it gives me good suggestions to catch up on - especially if there's consistency in the posts. But this thread you can only pick ONE. Don't be different for the sake of it. Don't go with the critics if you don't believe it. What's YOUR favorite album of 2013, and why? Mine, of course, is Los Campesinos - No BluesBeen a fan since their 2008 inception, and love everything they do. Catchy and very witty song writing. I put Gareth ahead of Alex Turner, as a lyricist. So underrated. What Death Leaves Behind is perhaps one of their best songs ever. Still can't stop playing it. Other than Cemetery Gaits, it's a perfect album. They matured, and this feels like their magnum opus - what everything was building up to. All their elements of their previous work are there, but this is so cohesive. Top album. Top band. Check it and them out. You won't be disappointed.

Why do we need two threads on this topic? The other "best album of the year" thread has been around a couple of weeks and doing a splendid job. This is redundant.
