Should have been ON the ALBUM! This must be a Gallagher brother trait of not always putting the BEST material on their records.

I think it's the best bonus song and it would fit well on the album between SCT and IR.

Reminds me of Johnny Cash for some reason, great song Interesting take. About a year or so back, when Liam was saying he was listening to a lot of "All Things Must Pass" and that was influencing the band at the time. I didn't think anything on "BE" sounded like that album. However, when the bonus CD came along with tracks like Off At The Next Exit, Back After The Break, Girls In Uniform and Evil Eye, those tunes reminded me of that influence he talked about.

Best Beady Eye song by far. Glad they're finally including it in some live sets but very odd that it didn't make it onto the album proper.
Love to hear a 42.42 style remix.

Good song. Infact all of the bonus songs are decent enough.
I really like Evil Eye as well

Terrific song, really shows how well Gem's performed this time. Its a lot of fun to play, even though I'm still trying to work the song out.

Maybe this should have been the "BE" tracklisting:
- Flick of The Finger - Soul Love - Off At The Next Exit - Second Bite of The Apple - Soon Come Tomorrow - Iz Rite - Girls In Uniform - I'm Just Saying - Shine A Light - Back After The Break - Evil Eye - Start A New

Its a good song, but its too depressing to have on the album. It was a wise choice to keep it as a bonus track.

As wise as putting a cliched/tired rocker like Face The Crowd and extremely poor lyrics of Don't Brother Me on the album instead? Don't like me wrong, I like the background sounds in Don't Brother Me but some of those lyrics make me cringe. "Come on now, give peace a chance, take my hand, be a man...."

^^I was thinking the same thing today. The background music is pretty decent (like a spacy GGTIA) but the lyrics are really lacking.

Lennon, I like your tracklist but I tucked Ballroom Figured in right before Start Anew. I guess I have a soft spot for Ballroom Figured.

I'd be curious to hear the original full band version of "Ballroom Figured". That should have definitely popped up as a b-side or some sort of bonus track.

The album needed to be up tempo hence Face The Crowd, Bite Off My Apples, Iz Ripe and all the other rockers being the back bone of the track list.

Oasis had some fun, great lyrics early on (Half The World Away, Talk Tonight, The Masterplan, Slide Away, Sad Song, etc). I'm sorry you missed those tunes. Beady Eye might not be known for their writing abilities but lyrics found in "Don't Brother Me" don't help the matter either.

Yeah, fun lyrics, but hardly groundbreaking and definitely not known for their lyrical content. Interesting that 80% of the songs you mentioned where b-sides, the tracks that actually went on the albums had shocking lyrics, but that never mattered. I'm still convinced that BE is regarded a promotional tool for touring. (I.e. an excuse to tour) I'd reckon 90% of the Beady Eye income is tour related. Hence the up-tempo, rockier songs making up most of the album to showcase the songs they'd be playing at gigs. Which brings me back to the bonus tracks (BATB, OATNE & EE) being too depressing/slow tempo to put on the album despite being the better songs.

These days most bands, musicians make their money touring. It is back to the style of the late 1950s, early 1960s.

I think that they should have saved BATB, OATNE, Evil Eye and Girls in Uniform for the next album, or at least a between albums EP. Love these songs so much but don't think that they would have been best served on BE. The feel is totally different.

What the..? Oasis had great lyrics, for example, Wonderwall, DLBIA, Slide Away, Talk Tonight, Champagne Supernova, Cigarettes and Alcohol (TOP!), Rocking Chair, Keep the Dream Alive, Importance od being Idle.. etc.
