DM:1994 WTS:1995 BHN: 1997 SOTSOG: 2000 HC: 2002 DBTT: 2005
DM-WTS--> 1 year WTS-BHN-->2 years BHN-SO--> 3 years SOT-HC--> 2 years HC-DBTT-->3 years
look how consistent that is....
chances are the new album will be released in the late 2007- early 2008 timeframe
i hope its earlier, but looking at the pattern above, its ulikely

To be more precise it's like:
DM-MG 1yr MG-BHN 2yr BHN-SOG 2 1/2 SOG-HC 2 1/2 HC-DBTT 2 3/4
The tours are longer and they are older so I would guess some writing (they can't just use what was left over from DBTT) in late 2006. Enter studio mid 2007 and maybe release late 2007 but my guess (b/c there will always be problems) early 2008, which would be about 2 3/4 years again.

argh. OR maybe they'll be so spurred by the success of dbtt that they'll be motivated to go in the studio end of this year and stick it out by mid next year. save 3/4 of a year, but still a long time. do other bands tour as long as oasis? like a for a full year?
anyway im not keeping my hopes up. you cant rush creative genius =P

the album always takes longer to come out than you think
Mid 2008 I reckon, would love it to be sooner though!

i agree with feck, they normally take longer than you expect to be released.
don't forget the b-side compilation and the 'best of' might be coming out in the near future which might put the new album slightly on the back burner.

do other bands tour as long as oasis? like a for a full year? Uh...oh yeah. Metallica used to tour for like 2/3 years at a time. Most big bands put in more time on the road than Oasis.
