Matt and Carin’s lyrics are always incredible and impactful. They're an incredible couple. So what's your favourite songs from this new album, my fellow The National fan? Mine is "The Pull of You", "Hey Rosey", "I Am Easy To Find", "Not In Kansas", "So Far So Fast" and absolutely the ending track with Matt's vocal "Light Years". Surely Matt's step back is what we've never been experienced before, but to me it works quite well (Matt giving vocals to other artists). This album is nothing similar to their previous albums and certainly not dark as Boxer (which is my most favourite album of theirs), yet it's The National. You know what I mean? I'm sure you do, @id1edreamer and Lennon2217! Lisa Hannigan contributed to "The Pull Of You", "Not In Kansas", "So Far So Fast", "Hairpin Tunes" and Kate Stables from This Is The Kit (they supported The National on their 2014 European tour) on "I Am Easy To Find", "Not In Kansas" and "Ryan". A quality job! Don’t sleep on Eve Owen either. She’s a force on this record. Clive Owen’s 19 year old daughter.... My favorites so far are Quiet Light, Oblivions, I Am Easy To Find, Where Is Her Head, Rylan and Light Years.

So what is on the third LP? Is it just a rip of the 24 min of music from the film?

If someone asked me to describe this album in nine words or less, my response would be
The hybrid of High Violet and Sleep Well Beast.

Now, the info on who sings what is probably in the liner notes but I'm too lazy to look 😛 I will say this, what a set of pipes on the young lady that sings on Roman Holiday (and she's also on a couple others I think). What a unique and stunning voice, simply fantastic.

I absolutely love Lemonworld but it is the only The National tune I know. Which songs would you recommend for me to get into them?

My favourite National song is that one with the noticeable rhythm, sad piano chords, and deep-voiced introspective lyrics.
