The National presents: There's No Leaving New York
On September 29th and 30th, The National presents: There's No Leaving New York; a two-day event at New York's Forest Hills Stadium. Future Islands, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Cat Power, Cigarettes After Sex, Phoebe Bridgers, U.S. Girls, Bully and Adia Victoria are also on the bill. Tickets go on sale at 10am ET Friday, April 13th. We'll partner with PLUS1 to donate $1 of every ticket sold to the Brownsville Community Culinary Center.

Our show last October at Forest Hills Stadium was one of our favorite shows in the history of the band. Just listened to "Alligator" while working. World finally found The National with "High Violet" in 2010, but "Alligator" and "Boxer" are nothing shorter than "High Violet". Both albums are as great as "High Violet".
Brilliant band and I completely agree with @id1edreamer.

I recently spotted Alligator on vinyl in a shop for 15, and I passed on it. Went back a week later and poof, it was gone. Definitely have to pick that one up next. |

and the world tour has just been announced, but I'll pass this time as they only play at Lowlands festival over here in August. 3 days camping with tent isn't for me. Matt, you gotta miss me, but I'm sure you and your gang will play solo gigs later this year. What do you think of the new single, my fellow The National lovers Lennon2217, @id1edreamer and others?
