So... on another thread I was having a rant about My Generation and I am the Walrus and just generally saying WHY  finish with other folks (okay so the Beatles and the Who aren't just other folks...  ) music. But, I mean, Oasis have got their own great stuff. So if you could tell 'em  ;D  what they should finish with, what would it be?  I think perhaps... Bring it on Down Any other ideas? |

At the Toronto show they finished with My Generation, but this time with the lights on, and it kicked ass. The word is that it is a tribute to the fans...giving them a chance to see and acknowledge the crowd. Anyway, it was something else!
But the really cool thing is that immediately following that, they left the stage and right away a recorded version of Let There Be Love came on as people were filing out of the arena....totally surreal.
It would be a great way to end there shows...leave the stage, turn the lights on, and play Let There Be love.

I agree, but ONLY for the very last show on this tour they should finish with Rock N Roll Star, and have Zak do a TWO-THREE minute drum solo (!!) at the end... then as the curtain is going down Noel should say to the crowd, "We need to take a break now, but we'll be back... We PROMISE... See you all again soon"... I think a statement like like would quickly get out to all the Oasis fans around the world, thanks to forums such as L4E, and it would be a great way of saying "thank you" to all the fans that turned out to see them on this tour, and that have stuck with them through the good times and bad.

Also they should do Slide Away for the last show as well... it would be GREAT as the second to last song in the encore, before RNRS

My Generation all the way.Unbelievable version of a great song.Nothing else would quite do it the way that does with the crowd gettin involved the way they do with the 'talkin bout my generatio' (noel) bit.

Umm I think some good enders that aren't really popular choices would be Fade Away, or Better Man, I love hearing those songs live.
I would say Champagne Supernoca with the extended outro, but if I heard that at the end I would want more.
I like them ending with I am the Walrus, cause they rock it the fuck out.
