With the announcement of the new AA album, I did a search for them on twitter and came across this profile: @dustyatticpro It's a recording studio in Kent, where the new AA albums were recorded: www.dustyatticproductions.com/ (See the "recent clients" tab). Noel is mentioned as a client on twitter but not the website. But from January 2013 are the following pix: Who's that on guitar in the background there? This pic could be from an AA session, but the caption says the sessions will never be released so there's a good chance it's from Noel's album sessions... what do people think? Anyone else know more??

OK, reading his tweets in more detail, here's proof the pic is from Noel's album sessions:
@je_suisNatalie What happened to the Noel & Amorphous Androgynous album? That is what I want to know.
@grantyh @je_suisnatalie he shelved it. I was one of the recording engineers on the album. Amazing songs, real shame. Mighty I is a killer
Who is "Mighty I" ? They get a mention in Noel's Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere but I never read those very often...

I'm desperate for the AA tracks to surface, such a shame they've been shelved when they have the potential to be fantastic.

'Amazing songs, real shame'? So Noel thinks it's rubbish, yet AA think its great. Also, Mighty I - a title of a song perhaps?
I feel we will get to hear the AA sessions, but not before all songs are released in a conventional form maybe.

I think Mighty I is the reggae alias of one of his kids! Can someone who read 'Tales...' confirm?

I think Mighty I is the reggae alias of one of his kids! Can someone who read 'Tales...' confirm? Yes, I just found this quote on Tumblr. “Have you been to that website, the reggae name generator? Well there’s a website that you can go on, where you put in your name, and it’s quite funny, they send your name to the ‘reggae fathers’, right, and it comes back and you get a reggae name, and we’ve all got reggae names right, and mine was ‘General Dread’, my son is called ‘The Mighty I’, and Sara is called ‘Irie Nancy’, so I said to these lot ‘Here you are, never mind all that fucking mod hairdo, get yourself a reggae name!’ So we had them all up in the studio and Liam is called ‘Romeo Dread’, Andy is ‘Tall Scratch’, and Gem is ‘Cool Prophet’! Paul Weller is called ‘Tough Levi’! It’s strangely kinda like ‘..Yeah, brilliant!’, it fits! Serge from Kasabian is called ‘Ganja Prince’, and Tom Meighan is just called ‘Tom Meighan’! "

So Sonny or more likely Donovan are on there somewhere, kinda sweet.
Can totally see that on the AA material... like the voices on the Falling Down remix.
Brian dougans is meant to be a bit of a caner though, hope he was smoke free when the kids were round ;-)

I'm still waiting for the Death In Vegas sessions I'm still slightly pissed off the Death In Vegas sessions never worked out. I've always thought it would have been a great direction to go in after HC. It would have been nothing short of brilliant IMO. I guess DBTT turned out pretty damn decent though so I can't complain too much. We'll hear them one day I'm sure.

I was super excited for this collaboration. I wanted Oasis to go in some new, uncharted direction. Sure Heathen Chemistry had great singles but overall it was average with tame production. I wanted Oasis to soar to new heights musically. They were still young enough and definitely had the talent to do so with Liam on vocals, Noel writing songs and the musicians ship of Andy and Gem. I would experience this same disappointment when Noel's AA project got shelved. Always the interesting stuff its stuck in limbo.

I was and am all for Oasis/Noel doing some more "experimental" music but AA are shit. Everything I have heard from them is just dull. All the sitars and female singers are just such a cliched idea of what psychedelic music sounds like. The only bit I have liked is when the drums and bass kick in on 'Shoot a Hole Into the Sun.
