Ever since he had his teeth knocked out, Liam's stayed out of serious trouble. Was that the turning point for him?
He seems to be a lot more sensible these days, and doesn't appear wasted at gigs and award ceremonies. I always used to look forward to picking up the tabloids and reading about what he had go up to the night before, or laugh at his hilarious drunken insults at fellow musicians.
I miss the old Liam, but he had to calm down for the sake of his health, his family, and his teeth!
But its not the same having Oasis fronted by a well-behaved frontman.

But you saw the drunken photos from the Q awards a few months back right? The fire is still in him. It's controlled fire...

he still talks complete bullocks without thinking... snarls at us still, etc..
this is just the newer version, yeah he aint a skinny 21 yr old kid, overnite millionaire, out snorting coke all nite... waking up to shots of jack daniels..
i love the new liam ! embrace it !

I like the new Liam. He seems much more relaxed and calm.

i like the new liam just because oasis seems to be very important to him - which is a great sign as a fan. i fuckin loved the old attitude but it seemed to have a self destructive air about it.
nowadays you still have liam, he still says whats on his mind but its more understated. i liek the fact that even though he has mellowed a bit - he hasnt compromised who he is, still speaks his mind as ever. i think its just cos he's less agitated - just happier with life, music, the band, his family.
we need a more sustainable band, and i think liam is up for that new role of oasis. i mean unless liam died and is immortalised as the young mad fer it manc - people grow up, thats just the deal. and who would want it any other way? after awhile people just look desperate if they are clutching onto being young.

I agree, Liam's attitude before was a bit " I don't care about anyone else, I come first" and all that. Noel at the time wasn't thinking solo project or what he was going to do after the oasis thing is done. Liam I think wised up to the fact about how lucky he is to be in this place in rock n' roll history. Noel is now along liam's old ways as far as how he views the band. Liam has taken over the band. When you think about it, Oasis is very lucky that it never disintegrated like the smiths, stone roses and more recently the libertines. They came close but never did.
