Album/Live I think he sounded best in 95-96 and in 2000
Album, he sounded amazing in 2005 (Love like a bomb, Let there be love and Lyla)
He was great in 97 but I dont think the BHN songs brought out the best in him..

95/96 in terms of actual musical vocal ability, if that makes any sense (it definitely doesn't) 00/01 was definitely his voice at it's limit, that 'PANIC IS ON THE ' from Familiar To Millions gives me goosebumps every time

I think his 'album voice' in 2000 and 2005 were probably the best out of all of them

1995 - 1997 & 2002
So I Picked 1995-1996, and 2002. He produced good vocals in 2002 (The Tokyo 2002 gig blows me away, as did Finsbury Park (Little by Little), and the Barrowlands (yes, I know that was in 2001, but nevermind).

Voted 2000/2001. Simply loved his voice at Wembley in 2000 and the Barrowlands gig in 01' is the best gig I've been to in my life. Ahhh the memories!!

1997-99. his early voice (94-96) was top notch then in 97 he started to get just a little raspy, which was his his best voice in my opinion. personally, by 2000 (wembley in particular) i think he'd lost it. they tidied it up on the albums, but when you heard him live you knew it was over.

I disagree he sounded great during some live performances in 2000 like Jools holland
