Haha. I love that it wasn't even that he didn't know which was which. Usually it's just because they didn't know which Gallagher was the singer. He knew that Noel was the songwriter/guitarist and Liam was the singer. Funnily enough it's fairly well written except the notable glaring error of which Gallagher brother it is. Pity the basic research was lacking.

How about this: the article ends by saying "Noel - for perhaps the first time in his high-flying career - is being shortchanged." This was published about four months before Noel held the press conference announcing the name of the High Flying Birds.

It's fantastic, I love this bit - "He’s even abandoned the guitar so he can stand out front, bent over at the waist, with his hands behind his back a la Liam." He obviously didn't realise that the man who looked, sounded like and stood like Liam was actually Liam, not just Noel pretending to be Liam.

"Of course, by the mid Seventies Peter Green had bought himself a wig and begun living as a woman."

Anybody confused by the article may have been put right off by that photo, an overload of confusion regarding which man is which man.

This is pretty much what most music reviewers do. No one has the knowledge of all the band they review so they do a quick search on wikipedia, get a little bit of info and then attempt to put a few paragraphs together.
It's shocking to think people get paid good money for this sort of thing
