Anybody else noticed all the George Harrison references throughout HFB? It's just hit me!
Noel - I'd Pick You Every Time George - I'd Have You Anytime
Noel - What A Life! George - What Is Life
Noel - "isn't it a pity that the sunshine..." George - Isn't It A Pity
Noel - Just Let It Come Down Over Me George - Let It Down
Noel has stated in the past that he'd make a good George Harrison, and I guess this supports that...

I have to agree. This is totally conclusive and compelling evidence.

Who bothers to look for this? Wasn't so much a case of me bothering as a case of it appearing to me.

It's a stretch IMO. I don't think George Harrison had anything to do with those lines. If they are references they are all misquotes other than "isn't it a pity" and most are commonly used phrase that I have heard before and since without reference to Noel or Harrison. Other than the last one none of them are particularly unique phrases.

I don't think it was a case of it being done on purpose but after so many years of listening to stuff, it just becomes automatic in your brain, part of your own thoughts. But well spotted

I'm not sure what all the animosity is about. Personally, I love comparisons like this!

I'm not sure what all the animosity is about. Personally, I love comparisons like this! So do I, which is probably why I think of so many. Think yourself lucky I don't post all the ones I think of because then the animosity would be wholly justified!

My Sweet LORD <=> Let The LORD Shine A Light On Me Got MY Mind Set In YOU <=> (I Wanna Live In A Dream In MY) Record Machine / The Death Of YOU And Me Here COMEs The Sun <=> COME On Outside
Also, anyone noticed that both George and Noel were guitarists in huge British bands before embarking their solo carriers? They're practically the same person!!

Are you the bloke that spotted the warning signs of Liam's adultery? It was funny when you were vindicated.

Yeah, you're reaching for something that's not there. It's like that middle school English teacher who forces you to look for meanings in such menial things as the color of a character's shirt. I dunno; sometimes, it's just a blue shirt.
