If anyone gets news over in UK please post it ....espn here has reported united officials are considering sacking moyes .... So I guess that vote of confidence is typical smokescreen ...

No other way, the season is lost... but seriously...Olympiakos? united (love them or hate them) used to be a force...time flies Under Fergie you'd say so, no problem. Under Moyes though Im not convinced. I can see Olympiakos scoring at the very least, making very difficult for this United team. Even if they do somehow make it through tonight, they aint got a chance in hell vs anyone even half decent. The likes of Barca/Madrid/Bayern will rip them to pieces, i actually want them to go through tonight just so i get to witness their total embarassment at the hands of the very best teams. Doing a cracking job is Moyes, he defo needs more time and money, that will surley solve the problems......

turns out we are still one of the 8 best teams in europe, who would have thunk it. Such a misnomer, and it epitomizes the fallacies of the playoff system that the Yanks cherish so much. I'd rather win the Prem over the CL anyday. The league table doesn't lie.

Too many ducking teams ,,best team rarely wins these days , all made for TV nonesense , why I love tennis , golf , horse racing where best man or animal wins ..... I hate you play 8 months of mediocrity a lot ( baseball, hockey , basketball ) then can get hot for a month and be world champs ,,,,bulllshit I say ....nfl is getting as bad may I add .... I'm all for old days take top record in east and west and play for title , it's make all USA leauges east west , n baseball you would play al and no playoff then World Series in football hockey basketball teams in east & west only 1 each play for title , that's competition and makes regular season worth something , but TV won't allow

This is actually pathetic: espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1764279/united-fans-yell-alex-ferguson?cc=5901Also, I don't really think that Moyes is the problem. I don't know if he's the answer, he probably isn't, but he's not the problem. The squad left by Ferguson is poor (not blaming Fergie here, either, just stating a fact). The defenders are past their prime and are aging. The midfield is a crock of utter shite. And the two strikers are tempermental prima donnas who can't carry the team even when on proper form without at least some sort of quality behind them - both supplying assists as well as being able to shut up shop and not concede. Look at Citeh, Chelsea, and Liverpool - their squads are fucking frightening (Liverpool's reliance on SAS is too much, though). When Arsenal took the field against Chelsea last weekend, I knew we lost when I glanced at the teamsheets - I didn't need sloppy passes and Chamberlain pretending he's fucking David Seaman to see we were going to lose. Arsenal are too light weight. Wenger's tactics were a fucking disgrace, and how he wasn't able to get the squad focused (I have NEVER seen Arsenal play so sloppily before. Not even the 8-2 a few years back) is down to him. But ultimately, they were going to lose anyway, bar a Chelsea off-day, simply down to the players. What my digression is trying to say: I would give Moyes 1 more season. Let him craft his own team. If not competing after that, then try someone with a higher pedigree. I think I read that that's what the board is going to do anyway - give Moyes next season.....

I say give Moyes all the time he needs, he's doing a great job! More money too, say he can buy more players for over inflated prices and then not play them in their proper positions anyway.
GGMU, Moyes is a genius.

But united are in a much better place than Liverpool to " not fade away "

See Ross like the Yankees big money won't allow them to crash like Liverpool , or the Yankees in the 80 s when the money wasn't as insane as it now , a crash for united will be this a 5 or 6 place season but unlike Liverpool who were mired in that for years the big money that united get will allow them to retool much faster like our Yankees , why the crash won't be as bad or as long ..IMO. And I support city
