What're the chances of Noel playing?

From what I read/heard/saw, Oasis (and Noel) didn't have much nice memories with this festival.
Their Glasto debut in 1994 went ok. Their first headline performance in 1995 ended up with Noel's comments "I will never ever play the new songs before the album is out" (or something like that. A good friend of mine was one of the witness of this performance) in the paper next morning. But for us fans, it gave us a fantastic bootleg. and their last Glasto performance, again as headliner on pyramid stage in 2004, brought us a memory of Liam as a "man in that long white coat". Although I can't complain cos that was the moment I got into them.

2004 was awful. Love the 94 & 95 gigs though.

Surely Noel would need to get a new album out and make a Glasto appearance a part of his promotional tour? Unfortunately, it's pretty quiet on the new material side of things.
You never know, I am going to Glasto so would love it if he did play.
Even Oasis have been rumoured, which is laughable...

I think with another successful solo record under his belt he could do it. Right now he would be to reliant on Oasis material.

If he don't play as an headliner he can do it to promote new material I think, but it depends when it will come out If he'll have a successful second album (and I hope so) he could even headline it (in 2015 of course or at least 2016) and that would be fantastic

Ideally he might have 3 or 4 albums out before he did it.

Isn't Arcade Fire headlining a night?

Isn't Arcade Fire headlining a night? Who knows? No official information on line-up/headliners atm and no reliable leaks. General consensus is Fleetwood Mac will possibly headline one of the nights... Other than that lots of names being mentioned (Arcade Fire being one)

Isn't Arcade Fire headlining a night? Nothing's been confirmed, just the odd rumours you get but you would think Arcade Fire would be a massive favourite to play. They've never done it so it would seem a legitimate choice. Ideally, and realistically, I think they should get Arcade Fire, The Stone Roses and Fleetwood Mac - though having two 'oldie' bands there might not be the best thing. I'd love to see Noel Gallagher headline Glastonbury - hell, he's got the songs and the performance - and if anyone doubts his festival performances then watch the 2012 T in the Park gig. He was on the main stage prior to The Stone Roses but many of the papers the next day said he was the best thing from that weekend.I don't think previous Oasis offerings is on his mind. If he were to do it, I can see him getting the slot before a headliner - they're usually big slots and they are televised.

matt Noel was on fire during the festival season,V festival,T in the park and Benicassim were fantastic, but I think now it would be to soon to headline, but after two albums who knows,it could happen
