These year I will put (for the sixth time in internet history) the only Liam+ Noel related TOP 100 online.
I only need your help.
As a real listmaniac I expect a great list (with your help), with the classics mixed with kind of obscure songs and the odd surprises inbetween.

I will put the end results on RYM again, and on youtube as a playlist. Hopefully Spotify will have the complete back catalogue avalaible by then so I can create a playlist on there as well. And maybe the webmasters could create some special space on this site?? Anyway, closing date:
10th december 2011 00:00. I hope to reveal the definite top 100 before or around Christmas.
Will Live Forever top the list once more? Will Beady Eye or Noel's firts solo albums stand the test of time? Will old b-sides already be forgotten?

So REPLY to this post and make a list of your 20 (current OR alltime) favourites, of course you can choose from Oasis, NGHFB and BE's complete back catalogue (see below, only official released recordings, and just vote for the song, not a particular version please). If you give me your motivation for (all or some) songs choices, I might as well put them as extra info in the final list.

OK. so I'll start off myself:

1. LISTEN UP: recently (after a long time) re-"discovered". It's typical pure Oasis (pre 2000). Beautiful melody, layered production, nice -but a bit vague- lyrics, and maybe a bit too long. Great nonetheless
2. EVERYBODY'S ON THE RUN: "I always think ïf only Liam would have sung on this...." It's the only song on the NGHFB album where I really miss Liam's vocals. But it's also one of the best songs Noel wrote in a decade.
3. SOON COME TOMORROW: I was quite excited when BE came out. This song had to grow on me. I love the lyrics ("what kind of love burns holes in your heart" and the guitar solo.
4. ALONE ON THE ROPE: Why this song wasn't eleased as an albumtrack is a mystery to me.
5. OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT: see nr 4.....
6. LIVE FOREVER: no list is complete without the Oasis classic. Sometimes you feel a song defines an era or just a period in your life. This song does both for me. It will be a companion for a lifetime.
7. CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA: The lyrics are cheesy, but the way Liam sings them is just great. The sentence ("where were you....") really defines the crazy times of the mid- 90's. Oasis at their height.
8. THE TURNING: Should have been a single.
9. IN A BUBBLE WITH A BULLET: As a B-side it reminds me of the "Oasis-golden singles-period".
10. D'YER WANNA BE A SPACEMAN?: Just because it's so sweert and simple. and I like the melancholy of it.
11. SIMPLE GAME OF GENIUS: It's a bit overlong, but I really like the melody
12. FLICK OF THE FINGER: Great way to start off an album
13. IDLER'S DREAM: Despite HC not being the best Oasis album, or 2002 the pest period of Oasis I really have got good memories of this certain song and time. Could be because of some girl I was into at the time.

14. GAS PANIC!: best song on SOTSOG. Wish they had made more songs like this.
15. I HOPE I THINK I KNOW: A song that is often forgotten. I really like BHN, but idn't want to go for the regular classic stuff this time. It's a nice powerpop tune, imo.
16. BAG IT UP: Oasis always had good/great opening songs, and this is certainly one of them.
17. CAN YOU SEE IT NOW?: it just builds and builds. Would have fit on DOYS. Really like it.
18. WAITING FOR THE RAPTURE: both versions (album and sripped down) have their charm. Anyway very nice tune.
19. THE DEATH OF YOU AND ME: Some people describe it as The Importance of Being Idle. I like this tune better.
20. LET THERE BE LOVE: It could have been MEGA if....(shorter, less repetition, better production) But in the end it's just a beautiful song and I liked the idea of keeping it down a bit (instead of -the easy way perhaps- making it big like many Oasis anthems before)

Note: this was very very hard. As you can see: my list is more based on a current playlist on my pc or stereo. These songs are my favourites at this time. Maybe within a month it would have been totally different.

Now here we go.

Ok here goes......

1. Listen Up - I was a teenager when this was released and the anti establishment lyrics in the verse, the trashy guitars and melody are superb. Liams vocal is one of his best IMO.
2. Live Forever - enough said.
3. Round are Way - I love the big band production in a tune everyone could relate to their own childhood. Summer days getting drunk with your mates and sneeking by your mum and dad at midnight because your smashed lol....did everyone do that when they were 15?
4. Headshrinker - Often forgotten about this one, I love it. Again a superb Liam vocal.!
5. Cast No Shadow - The vocal harmony in the chorus is superb especially the main road version.
6. Married with children - Simple tune with wit and charachter, everything which the later material didnt have.
7. My Big Mouth - I remember hearing it recorded from the knebworth shows and thinking what a tune. I still think the production on BHN is detremental to the songs but live it's a beast!!!
8. D'you know what I mean - This single should have been released with a pair of y's to cover it's huge balls!!!
9. Supersonic - What the fuck is he on about? brilliant though!!! lol
10. If I had a gun - The gaffer at his very best, simple and brilliant.
11. Gas Panic - I love the backing track to it live and the solo kicks proper arse!!
12. The Hindu Times - This is a total bollocks tune that if anyone else had attempted to release would be told to do one....but Liam Gallagher sings on it and it is cool as fuck hhahaha. I also love the riff...Kelly who?

13. The masterplan - I dont need to say much here.
14. Where did it all go wrong - Love the solo in it and still jam this song to this day. Its not there greatest but I like it.
15. I Hope I Think I know - I wish they had played this one live, one of my favs from BHN.
16. Alive - Me and my mate used to jam this constantly! I love the chord progression and the toned down style of Liams voice. TUUUNNNE!!!!
17. Wonderwall - Boo Hisss...He likes Wonderwall.
18. Stay Young - Simple message in this tune with a catchy melody...NOICE!!!
19. Lets all make believe - obvs about R-Kid, great Liam vocal and love the lyrics.
20. Roll with it - A proper stadium jump around, I saw it live at Murryfield Stadium 2000 (I think), good times.

So we're talking about favourite tunes THIS year only, eh? Well then I will exclude any of my usual top 10 and go from there.

1) shakermaker - reminds me of my visit to Manchester this year, a life time dream fulfilled

2) don't look back in anger - hit me in a new way altogether when i lost a friend

3) round are way - such a fun, good times song, really wish it had been on the masterplan!

4) headshrinker - such a frantic ride, this song is criminally underrated

5) roll it over - i've finally got this one down perfectly on the electric, sounds great even solo

6) keep the dream alive - a song to meet all the new challenges in life

7) girls in uniform - IF ONLY this was on track 8 instead of Don't Brother Me!!!!

8) soon come tomorrow - a perfect song, I'll bet it makes Noel regret disbanding Oasis

9) iz rite - one of Liam's best vocals since 2000 i think, great chorus

10) flick of the finger - big, loud, pounding, unrelenting, and i love the spoken bit at the end

11) ballroom figured - such a tender song with an equally tender Liam vocal, just sublime

12) off at the next exit

13) back after the break - reason for both of these is that they show how great Gem can be as a writer

14) dream on - one of Noel's that grown on me the most off the album

15) married with children - is this what life after love is really like? feels like it sometimes

16) some might say - been listening to the demo a lot, love its pace

17) i'm just saying - memories of walking around london to this tune

18) heroes - got the bowie album this year, makes me wish Noel did this one more often

19) the cage - what a phenomenal instrumental and end to HC - really wish it was more 'accessible'

20) roll with it - classic Oasis, especially live

OK, with only 4 days to go I decided to give you all the last update. Maybe stirring things a bit up, but below you see the songlist to pick your 20 favourite tunes from.
But....the songs marked with a * are songs that are still in "danger zone", meaning they've got 4 or less (even 0) votes so far. So if you want to make sure they end up in the final TOP 100, be sure you vote before December 10th.
