If they didn't lipsync that gig they are amazing because it sounds exactly like the CD version and I just don't see Noel singing perfectly like the CD version everytime. Let me know what you think.

It does actually look slightly suspect. although I would imagine that they did that show not lip sync but the audio for the video is the cd version played over the video which has had its original audio removed.

- This live version and the CD version sound EXACTLY the same - listen to both back to back and see for yourself.
- Has Oasis ever lipsynced before? Have they ever commented on people lipsyncing before?
- The part where Noel has to keep the long "ahhhhhh" late in LTBL in this live performance plays while Noel backs away from the mic

Yes, Oasis have mimed before. Many times. From as early back as 1994.
In this video above, the song is being mimed. Very obviously.

Of course that's mimed... if you want yet another reason (out of the hundreds there could be) look at Noel's expression while he sings, his throat doesn't even move, watch him sing properly live and he has a lot more expression.
Oasis have mimed loads on TV shows, the only one the WHOLE band have played on this tour is the Jonathon Ross show when Lyla was released.

I actually was in the studio audience when this was recorded, the morning after their Amsterdam gig. Although I was dissapointed that they didn't play live, it was still nice to see the band in this situation. They were pretty relaxed, and Liam shook hands with some people after their 'performance'.
By the way, they did a live performance of Lyla at another Dutch TV show, with full band.

this is in no way meant to be offensive or sarcastic but seriously... how long do you know oasis now ? So in light of the posts after yours, hopefully you were inferring that Oasis lipsyncs a lot of gigs and not that they would never lipsync.

thats what i was alluding to. it's a nice day-off for them to do this top of the pops kind of thing... anyway for a rocknroll band the sound in TV studio is shit unless you play smth unplugged... the only tv show with a good (=loud!) vibe for live performances is Taratata or NPA both on french television..
