I'd go with Don't Go Away (Though it technically was a single, limiting it to just Japan doesn't cut it for me). A personal favorite of mine.

I also love Don't Go Away. One of their finest songs.

To me, Whatever and Slide Away were like a double A-side release. It's probably my favorite Oasis single.

Don't Go Away as the lead single of BHN seems like a no brainier to me after coming off the success of Wonderwall.
Voted Gas Panic however just because its the most badass song ever conceived.

It 100% should have been the lead single for the USA market. Americans LOVED "Wonderwall" and "Don't Go Away" is cut from the same ilk. A huge missed opportunity for Oasis. DYKWIM, despite being awesome, got zero video/radio air play after their mid July debuts. They were just too damn long. If DGA was the first single, Oasis gets a US #1 easily in my opinion.

Acquiesce should have been the lead single off Morning Glory IMO (and thus should've been on the album over Some Might Say). Not that it really mattered, it was going to #1 either way.
I think Oasis mostly made great singles choices. Having said that, Slide Away and Champagne Supernova should have been UK singles. I think I've heard Noel say he didn't want Slide Away to be a single because 5 is too many, but off that album I don't think it was (same for having 5 off Morning Glory).
Don't Go Away should have at least been a US single. And I would have chosen Where Did It All Go Wrong? over Who Feels Love.

Acquiesce. It even had the effect of a single. Kind of.

Not my favourite at all but The Masterplan would have probably won over the most fans imo
