I'll start with:
Noel doesn't keep his songs to himself (only 1 or 2 Noel vocals). Stop The Clocks. Revolution Song.

imo it's not right thinking about a new album right now. they haven't even finished the tour for this one and haven't signed a new record deal. they will take a break at least until the end of the year and then they would probably get back in the studio around early 2007. then we can just hope they have no problems during the recording process. so I guess my only wish for the new album is that it's out before 2008

Revolution Song isn't good enough to go on an album. It's barely even a B-side.

My wishlist is just that there is one - I agree with Senior Mogly - too early to say.
I doubt you'll get either of those songs though. I'm just hoping for a decent album and some decent Noel-sung b-sides. The strength of DBTT bodes well for the next record, but Noel doesn't sound terribly inspired at the minute.
It's a real bummer the EP's not happening anymore.

It's a really great song (I've really got into it recently) but I think it's time has come and gone. Although we had no right to hear it in the first place. I'd prefer a newer song though. Although I have to admit I had the same misgivings about Let There Be Love when I heard it was going to be on the record.

i live in a dream in my record machine it sounds like it could be cool i think they might even work a bit more on the div stuff(their must be one or two from those sessions that are good enough for a album). I also think noel has got two or three ballads tucked away for the next one i think it will have a bit more of a psychdelic(sp?) vibe to it less rocky than usaual but with the 60's enlgish feel to it . they need to push the boundries as much as they can they are not going to write a better rocker than supersonic or acquiese and should only include one if it's brill not because they need one one there. bring in new insruments/influences etc and bring in more harmonies and backing vox. i hope It will be a double album.

Where can I get Revolution Song?
And a version of Stop the Clocks where you can hear the singing?
On a side note, these tracks are likely to turn up sometime soon, I mean look at It's a Crime.

I don't expect new album before September 2007, at best. Remember that they wanted to release DBTT before the numerous scrapped-up sessions, so I guess that if there aren't any particular obstacles to the recording process and the sessions are good and they have Starkey back - they can make the album significantly faster than "Don't Believe the Truth". I suppose it will happen some thing like this time, but it's too early to say. I think that after the tour finishes in March, the band will have plenty of time to ponder about the next album, so we just have to sit on our arses patiently and wait.

Yeah... double album. Ok, do it. It will be fine. But not a triple, no way. Unless Noel has big epiphany for a triple album it certainly won't happen. Chances for a double album are mediocre, but yet again, why not?

noel said its going to be produced by sardy again, right?
do you reckon if it was liam's call he'd work with owen morris again though? i mean its weak speculation - but just maybe, we saw the pics of them together at the richard ashcroft gig, and it was noel's call to get rid of owen.
double albums are dicey - only if each song is fantastic otherwise they just srash and burn and seem too long with too many filler tracks. i think id rther oasis stick to a single album as im not that ocnfident about the quantity of their output. 11 really fuckin fantastic songs. thats what all great albums have - a consistency in the quality of each song on the album so that you dont ever press 'next'.

yeah i think liam said he wanted to do a double album but noel didnt want to give noel too much material. better to stick to a single album anyways.

Some freakin guitar solos could work. Yeah. More solos...and just letting loose on songs. Let the new guys explore. Let Zak go mad on the drums... They have the talent.

noel is a lyin bastard he always says esp after the last couple of albums were released that there is heaps of songs and shit and that we wrote about 70 when making the album. but we never hear of them, surely they cant be that bad to throw away

I think a double album could've been cool around Be Here now,but like the stones they could make an album like Exile on Main Street. which is cool but alot of filler, and Oasis filler isnt cool.I personally hope for more jamming, solos and strings.some decent Mellotron, and for fucks sake Noel,be more upbeat than Part of the Queue(3/4 timing is cool tho)!and i think only George Harrison has made a decent triple album(i might be wrong tho)

Well as far as i've heard they wanted DBTT to be a double album but didn't want to give that to Sony.
LIAM has been rumoured to have said he wants a new album out by the end of the year (don't see it personally)
As much as i think Revolution Song is great i don't want it on the next album, we've all heard it anyway.. by the time DBTT had come out i'd heard Lyla, Meaning of Soul, A Bell Will Ring and Let There Be Love.. i want a few more new songs on the next album.

Well, since DBTT I finally have trust that their will be a huge album like DM or MG in the future. DM and SOTSOG are great, but not on the level of the first two albums. HC was a huge dissapointment to me. I actually started to believe they lost their magic. But then they come up with such a album as DBTT, which gave me a huge boost again! It's still not on th highest level, but competing with BHN and SOTSOG ...
I believe the next one will be their definite come back album all around the world.
Love to hear some epics again like Whatever. They showed the still can (WPTWOTWOMS). Lot's of great acoustic songs with Liams voice, Beatles influences, great psychodelic lyrics, mellotrons, and some (3 or 4) reall Oasis rock tunes. The way the had that on MG was superb. Those epics and stuff, and "in the face, up to date but still timeless lyrics."
