or was he tought just straight out rock n roll? im not a drummer so im not too sure but where alan played military zak crashes or slows it right down to just bass and snare? any drummers like to share their thoughts. thanks

Can you give an example of where he does this? I'd like to take a listen to hear it, but I'm not overly familiar with the drumming parts to the songs.

yeh on dlbia for one in the verse, alan rolls it off the snare where as zack does bass and snare really slowly compared to alan. there r loads more examples... like live forever too, all over it alan came off the snare twice to steady it along nicely but zak sends u too sleep by slowing it down, anyone else hear this? alan is a much better and diverse drummer to zak for this reason

Yes, his brother Steve said to me in his site that "Al is doing great he is pursuing lots of different stuff and may do some drumming soon, but at the moment he is just enjoyin life." That was in January this year. Zak just can't drum for Oasis, dudes. Face it. It's painful, I know, but it's the pure truth  . |

I was talking with Len about this right after the MSG show was over. Zak won't do any loops on DLBIA nor any variations on the other songs. He's def more rocker but he lacks of creativity I guess. |

All I know is, is that when I saw (heard) Steve White (Alan's bro who filled in on the Brotherly Love tour) play when he filled in 4 his brother, he was amazing and played every song very hard and aggressive.
Other than that I can't tell any difference.
