After reading through many threads on the forum over the last months, I come away feeling like a sizable group of members feels that I don't put down my foot enough on here and that I simply don't care. Some go as far as to think that I actually like the troll and flaming wars on here because it drives the traffic up and I make more money... I started Live4ever back in 2002 and I lost track of how many terabytes of (bootleg) traffic I personally financed to keep the site going. I didn't mind paying , I enjoyed the publishing 'hobby' which now has now turned into a second 'job' since the Ezine was added. I am not in it for the money, believe me. For all those who claim I look the other way on all the 'crap' that's going on I have to say: try running a forum this size one day and let me know how you do. A lot of the security log work is done without any knowledge of the members since I don't want to make a big deal out of it. If it makes anyone feel any better I have banned 303 members and IPs so far and if necessary I'll continue to do so , quietly ,the way it should be. That's all from me folks and please respect your mods and co members. I respect you too - I won't turn into a trigger happy forum dictator. I really do mean well for the community. If any troublemakers try to pull you down by criticising the band you love, let them do it. Let them see that you don't care. But don't forget, without this forum you would have never got so many Oasis related bootlegs as you have now. Without this forum you would have never "met" the people who you concider as friends now. If you don't agree with that opinion, or if you're gonna get upset by such opinions, then don't read it. Most threads pretty much say what they are on the tin. To me, if there's a thread about how rubbish Liam's vocals are and Liam fans go in there to defend him, then they're being the "trolls". On this forum, a troll seems to be anyone who disagrees with your opinion, which is ludicrous in itself. Liam has done some pretty shocking things after the past few months - more shocking than I can ever remember for him - so why is not okay for people to discuss them? As I said before, this is a Beady Eye discussion forum, not a "Lets-kiss-Liams-ass" forum. |

I like different opinions because there would be no point in having a forum if everyone agrees with everyone, if someone likes/dislikes liams vocals etc then they should be able to say it and not get abuse for expressing their opinion, however the personal abuse should not be tolerated as well as tasteless comments about incidents such as Gems head injury, you can have an opinion while remaining respectful to others.

In fact you refer to a thread about his vocals do you not? That's why I said make it constructive, not personal. I based it on your own posts. That was your argument for criticising Liam but now you are trying to justify criticising his personal life as you don't like my post. It's pathetic. You have an unhealthy dislike for a man you have never met and if he really gets under your skin that much then I'd suggest you need to have a wee look at yourself.
