oasis is a band that is under a constant change and that a good thing.. it means that they are maturing musically and personaly.... thats how they differ from all the bands that are on the chart nowadays... so them sounding liek the beatles is a load of bollocks in a sense b/c they are a totally different sound even form the beginning...

Okay, so the best way to discribe this "magic" i was talking about is that Oasis gave you some same sort of "feeling" The Beatles gives you. At least in the early days. Nowadays they still do (LTBL for example), but not that much as back then.
Personally I mis that. Ofcourse a band should grow up and change and stuff, but it also needs to keep the magic thay already have. When I first listed to HC I though it was completely gone (well, SCYHO and BOADC are exceptions). But now DBTT is released I finally see some of their old power back, but more grown up. These drumparts of Zak are kinda like "beat" like back in the sixties ya know, at least it gives me that feeling. I think Oasis is on their way back to get their old form back! That's why i can't wait till the next album. :-)

Oasis havent lost their beatle magic they jsut dont need it anymore, theyve developed their own through and through sound and expanded theyre range of musical inspiration. thats my opinion anyway.
and reeny calm down, this is an Oasis forum anyway not a football one

in my world football is played with a pigskin, 300 lb linemen and superbowls...
and soccer comes around every four years and mostly everyone cheers for brazil.
as for music,
I understand what you guys are saying about the loss of the 'beatle-spine tingle' magic to their songs...
they just raised the bar so high--and also managed to get so high--that noel sort of lost the plot--and unlike john and paul he had no one to bounce things off or challange him to keep it going--
and we also can't forget that the beatle magic lasted about six years...
oasis are going on 12...
and anyway, in my opinion dbtt has some great 'magic' in it (iobi, ltbl, tuts,).
and by the way,
go COWBOYS!!!!!!
