I love every Verve song I've heard but I'm yet to buy one of their albums Buy Urban Hymns from the Verve. It's their best by a mile, and it's got Liam on backing vocals for the last song! But for the OP, I don't own anything by Elvis, or really any of those classic rock n' rollers. I like it when I hear it, but I don't find it has the energy it used to, and I could never listen to it casually in the car or anything. Your missing out big time there IMO, for me id sod the verve and stock up on Elvis/Little Richard/Buddy Holly/Jerry Lee Lewis/Chuck Berry. No contest, especially when you talk of 'energy'. You just can't beat those 50's rock'n'roll classics, timeless.

Anything by Mumford & the Sons and Kings of Leon (after their world hit "Sex On Fire") cos I can't stand them.

I may sound like a hipster, but Kings of Leon - just like Coldplay - turned annoying the moment they became too mainstream. They try too hard.

I remember watching them playing "Molly's Chamber" at Glastonbury 2004 on TV and I liked the song. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw their picture a few years later, all of them have had a hair cut and with a song like "Sex On Fire" they became huge. Shame is that.

I'm a big fan of the film Almost Famous and always wanted a band like Stillwater in real life. When these guys came out in late 2003 I though I finally found one! They had the look and reckless attitude. Stillwater:Then:Now:

Good one!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not offending any Kings Of Leon fan. It's just my opinion.
