As I was tired of waiting for Beady Eye to finally find their way to Vienna and as Munich is just 4 hours away by train, I went there yesterday. Best decision I have made in a long time! I am still an Oasis/Beady Eye rookie, so it was the first time for me and I enjoyed every minute of it and so, it seems, did the band, especially Liam and Jay. Jay seemed to be laughing each and every time I looked his way! Good to see that he is enjoying himself. The crowd most certainly did, especially a bunch of hardcore fans at the front. Liam - he really is short! - was not happy with the technics. At first you could hardly hear him, but thankfully they got him another microphone and then you could hear his voice very nicely. He also vanished sometime between songs to get a new in-ear-monitor. At least that's what I think he did then. But he was very friendly and extremely communicative, especially to those in the front row. He seemed to be really happy about them enjoying themselves (they were not the only ones!) as he kept mentioning it again and again. As for the songs, it was the usual setlist, but it made me happy to see that while "Rock'n'Roll Star" and "Morning Glory" got the most enthusiastic response, almost the same was true for the songs from DGSS. So those songs are loved, too. The new ones as well, of course. But I noticed the enthusiasm when "The Roller" came on. Funnily enough, while I never was that much a fan of "Bring the light" and "Wigwam", when they played it as encore, they had the most lasting impression on me. Of course, live - real live instead of via youtube etc. - does make a difference. During "Wigwam", after he had finished singing, Liam went to molest Jay (who seemed to enjoy that as well) and then he raised his microphone up to where he used to have it in the past and just stood there motionless with his mouth against the microphone. Weird! If they do find their way to Vienna (pretty please?) I would love to see them a second time. But I surely do not regret having spent a bit of money for trains and hotel. It was worth it.

Subscribing to a Vienna gig, especially as the DGSS tour one got cancelled there and there's no chance in hell they come to Budapest
